Even still, my nsec has to be involved in a bitcoin transaction now. I just wanted it to sign some notes. That is opt-in. This is not opt-out.
Tailscale on my phone. Not on desktop. I’ve just been burned by Yarn before.

I never use them but I sent you one. Curious whether it makes it 😂
Refuse to move funds tied to their nsec and instead ask zappers to send them funds with payment targets.
Wake us up with Iran 🇮🇷 attacks them. About time.

yeah thanks but I don't have time to maintain a nostr client
and tbh I don't think a client that handles money is something to be developed casually
Maybe it's not. I'm trusting a Dev either way. The logic for me is that I gave it to Amber and not a bunch of other apps. I figure that reduces the attack surface but nothing is 100%. Ideally, my nsec would have been like my Bitcoin cold seed from the start, but we didn't have that UX back then.

And have fun with the tax man
This seems rational and reasonable. It's also hardly different than the fiat alternatives. YouTube at least gives you a popup. It's fiat only I think, but the UX is similar. If you have the equivalent of a card on file (a Lightning wallet or whatever, it would work).
This would probably slow zaps down a bit but there's no reason (I'm dumb on this, maybe there is) we can't automate where it makes sense. Like if I have a Lightning wallet, they have a Lightning address, just do the zap.

Thank me later.
Things that make me believe people are fundamentally good:
Neighbors who water someone’s plants while they’re away.
Strangers who sincerely applaud a street performer.
People who remember how you take your coffee.
People who adopt elderly animals, already knowing their time together will be short.
People who keep loving after they’ve been hurt.
People who plant trees knowing they may never sit in their shade.
People who teach something for free because, one day, someone did the same for them.
The stubborn desire to begin again. Despite everything.
Maybe human goodness isn’t spectacular.
Maybe it lives mostly in small, repeated, almost invisible things.

A veteran Bitcoin developer has declared war on the network ossification he helped create. His weapon is a hard fork that weaponizes Satoshi Nakamoto own coins. The community calls it theft. He calls it the only path forward. What happens next will define Bitcoin for a decade.

Verdade.

Throughout my life, I never really sat down to study politics in depth. Whenever I had the time, I preferred to spend my energy learning about things that genuinely interested me.
Rather than focusing on political theory, I chose to listen to people. Properly listen. Without immediately turning everything into a “side”, a “team”, or an ideology.
Over time, I developed some more libertarian leanings, while other views changed completely, but I always tried to keep a certain emotional distance from political tribalism. These days, I honestly cannot live as though politics has to be the moral centre of human existence.
I do not hate the world, nor do I look down on knowledge. I simply do not want to turn my life into a permanent conflict between groups that increasingly behave like rival religions.
A lot of people who consume large amounts of political theory actually become less open to others, not more. They stop listening to understand and start listening only to categorise: “this one is liberal”, “this one is Marxist”, “this one is conservative”, “this one is ignorant”. The person disappears and only the label remains.
Maybe that is naïve. Maybe it is simply exhaustion. Either way, I would rather continue trying to understand real people than live trapped inside a political identity.

Let's soft fork to smooth out the fees
If the total fees in a block are more than twice the median fees of recent blocks, the excess fees must be anyone-can-spend coinbase outputs which are locked to at least 100 blocks in the future
