My speculation is they wanted to cast a wide net to increase the odds of profit. I think that'll turn out to be the wrong approach, but maybe it had to be that way for technical advancement. I think special purpose refinement will end up being the gold mine. Healthcare, drug creation, etc.
Exactly what I've been thinking. Some of the providers in my hospital are using a limited access model that trains on approved data and only gets used by physicians. Apparently it's been pretty good. Still uses a lot of energy, but my guess is a lot less once you compare to the fuckery one would deal with using a model trained on Reddit and whatever the fuck else they scrape.
Funny enough I still have power but a friend miles away doesn't. Power grids are interesting.

Do relay operators not have spam mitigation methods in place? I see the same spam on some relays that’s been there for months. It’s constantly reported as spam too but it persists. Do relays not implement some intelligent 1984 event considerations?

She talked to me about acceptance and being thankful for everything life delivers, because it's that flow of God's path.

I've looked into this and the issue comes down to relay coverage during scanning.
The scan checks a set of popular relays with a limited lookback window. Users who mainly post to relays outside that set (regional, community, paid relays) might not have their recent activity picked up. This can cause active users to show wrong "last posted" dates or get flagged as zombies when they shouldn't be. 😱
I'm working on a fix to expand relay coverage and the scan window. For now, always double-check before purging, especially if someone's "last activity" date doesn't look right.

It helps a lot if you do your own research on how to do the thing. I find often times the AI will get caught in a circular loop with errors and try doing the same thing to fix it.
You don't need to know much, but enough to say "stop doing the same thing and telling me you're trying something new!"

forgot that this took place when the sun was on the opposite side of the earth from the moon (ie, full moon)
which means you're trying to photograph an extremely small dim object (spacecraft) next to an extremely large bright one (full moon)
dunno what kind of equipment would be required for this
but it's about the most difficult kind of shot to take and seems unlikely anyone with just regular optics could do it.
so in my inexpert opinion, an independent ground based video does not "surely exist."
