The text is essentially the inverse of Carnegie’s persuasion model:
* instead of reducing defensiveness, it maximizes it;
* instead of preserving dignity, it attacks identity;
* instead of inviting agreement, it declares moral/intellectual superiority.

You’re a good mom, and the worry is just natural. We went through some unique challenges when our kids were born too. Not exactly the same as what you’re facing, but looking back, we got through it, and a lot of the fear and anxiety ended up being temporary.

There is something with water bottles lately. Was at my Aunt’s funeral mass the other day and the priest took like 5 swigs out of a water bottle in one hour. Today at my kids’ band concert, people everywhere with Stanleys and giant water bottles. Then I think about the bottles with the little timestamps telling you when to drink next. People planning out their hydration schedule like a production run.
Maybe I’m wrong, but I thought the best signal was thirst.
