employee management systems were designed for normalized, fungible labor as a sort of commodity. That’s why management systems and methodologies deliver really good results when you wrap them around AIs, and why they make creative humans miserable. Creative humans aren’t uniform, labor never has been fungible - until now.
Upshot being: apply more process than you think you need to AIs, and far less than you feel comfortable with to human employees.

Maybe a shorter way of saying it. "Management" of other programmers is actually kind of useful. It's something nobody ever wants to learn, so disguising it in a methodology makes it appealing to nerds.
the "other programmers" can be LLMs.
Bad management is absolutely worse than no management, but I've been on teams that have NO management, and I can say for sure that it's worse than **some good management**.

i don't entirely disagree there, but there's not really another great common term that captures the idea of being disciplined about software quality and using shared norms and processes to do so.
(And I would be doing the current moment, a disservice not to mention that putting literal Agile guardrails around an LLM - the make-work process that you're talking about - is actually a really good way to keep it doing the right thing. Surprise, surprise.)

If you took "Learn to Code" as advice to learn to be an agile software engineer then you're actually very well positioned right now. Agreed that drilling on how to write a sort algorithm was a waste of time. But learning how to arrive at high quality software **systems** was exactly what you need right now.
I don't know how the next crop will learn those skills, but my suspicion is that by the time they need it, it won't be necessary.

Agreed. But unfortunately in this instance, there are a few middlemen that make this business (list practically any book in print on an online store, take payment in bitcoin, have it shipped from a distributor) possible. And those middlemen care about things like permits.

The more and more I study this stuff, the more convincing I'm finding it, mechanistically, that massive amounts of lipid particle "pressure" - even if they're large and fluffy pattern A particles and you're as low-inflammation/oxidation/etc as you can get - still may cause plaques to form over the long run. It's the "MAY" part that I'm willing to have some respect for. We just don't know for sure yet. The mainstream claims to be certain - I think they're wrong. The fringe also seems to be certain - I'm not convinced enough that they're right.
That doesn't make it UNTRUE that smaller, denser particles are worse; inflammatory environment is worse; insulin sensitivity is important; etc. etc. - all the main arguments from the high-fat/low-carb crowd are still true. But going so far as to say that "ApoB and LDL just don't matter" is sloppy. Maybe at the numbers that a non-hyper-responder sees, that might be "close enough" that it doesn't matter for most people for most of their life.
But if you hyper-respond to the diet, and it's true that obscene numbers of particles (perhaps by some yet-unknown mechanism - see: https://drmalcolmkendrick.org/2026/06/02/transcytosis-what-is-it-and-does-it-matter/ ....) will cause some to be taken in by endothelial cells, then it's in your best interest, operating partially in the dark, to attempt to lower particle count while holding all those other good things high.
...remains to be seen whether that's possible.
And I maintain that the best case would be CCTA scans every 6 months with sky-high particles to watch for soft plaques which may or may not ever form!

After a very long run of predominantly animal-based (let's be honest, cow-based....), high-saturated fat diet (and the commensurate sky-high ApoB), I'm running an experiment: switch fat sources from animal/saturated, to MUFA (chicken, fish, olive oil, avocado, etc.) fairly strictly. no red meat, no butter, etc - but still copious amounts of fat (and protein). keeping everything else consistent - no sugar, low/no carb, whole, unprocessed foods, very low lactose, etc.
Repeating blood tests in 5 weeks. will be interesting to see how ApoB and HDL react.
Given that I'm keeping everything else consistent, I expect insulin resistance, inflammation and other metabolic markers to remain optimal, as they are now.
If ApoB and LDL drop back down (but particle size stays large) and all the other stuff stays good (inflammation stays low, energy levels and strength high, performance in general stays good, etc.) I'll probably conclude that balls-to-the-wall carnivore doesn't seem worth the risk/benefit.
Where "risk" means: sure, seems reasonable that high particle count may not be atherogenic given an otherwise optimal environment, but the jury is still out on that one and do you really want to be the site of the experiment?
In an ideal world, I _would_ like to be the site of the experiment... but only IF repeated CCTA scans were feasible and non-risky, in order to catch plaque formation as early as possible in order to "stop the experiment". the radiation involved in that probably outweighs the benefit of the visibility - nevermind the fact that it's fucking impossible to get a doctor to order a CCTA even when you are waving a cash-pay stack under their nose.
