At first, I used intermittent fasting, which I still use more or less, even though I am at a point now where I'm pretty much done cutting fat as my main focus. I would recommend a basic 16:8 (no food:food) for anyone, even though I myself used a 40:8, in order to reset my metabolism. In the meantime, I was burning extra calories through walking and lifting, just as a supplement for the metabolism.
Cut out carbs. Keep your body in ketosis. Then go from there.

Yep. Losing weight is 90% diet, maybe 10% exercise. And that 10% isn't about burning calories; it's about keeping an effective metabolism. Walking is a HUGE boon.
I've kept my muscle reduction to a minimum by light lifting and an emphasis on protein-dense foods, but I am genetically inclined towards muscle gain, so your milage may vary.
Down 104 pounds since late July 2025.

That's the point of begging for "government regulation" to begin with: to drive valuation. Anthropic and OpenAI both do this, constantly, and have for at least three years. "This model may be tooooo dangerous to release," OpenAI said... about GPT2.
It's brilliant marketing. Fable will be back within a few days, at least, and everyone will be intrigued with the model so dangerous the government had to put constraints on it. And investors will be lining up.
The Anthropic IPO is estimated to drop in the Fall. The cash-in is coming for all involved.
That we'll all be using more powerful models within a couple of years for free is also true, but the investors neither know nor care about that.

I feel like maybe a lot of people don't remember how cool it was when we all lived in small networks. Maybe they're too young.
BBSes. IRC. Newsgroups. It was great when we had smaller communities, when people interacted with a limited network. I would come home from school every day and look forward to 300bps telenetting in to Mnematics Videotex in '93, eager to talk to ten people who used the same service.
It was great. We all knew each other, hung out for hours chatting about whatever.
Nostr being small, or "lacking engagement" doesn't really matter. What matters is the community you build here, even if it's a small one.
I mean, you people even FIGHT like family! Cherish that.
