Working on building something in this space but currently there are three options that I'm aware of. 0xchat, Keychat, and Flotilla. The problem is that none of them do group chats quite the same. Keychat uses it's own hybrid nostr/signal protocol (personally my favorite for 1:1 messaging). 0xchat is probably the idea for what they should be like on nostr (it's what I prefer for simple group chats) but there are problems with relay connectivity and app access that are user limiting. Flotilla is more Discord like in that it is group chats within group chats and it solves for the relay issues by hosting everything on one relay (so centralized, which some will frown no) and this requires running a relay and someone with the tech skills to host and manage the group. And that's what I think it comes down to. You have different options for different situations. So you really need to know your group before building the group.

Correct. Ecash as a concept isn’t relevant to anyone outside of a tiny bubble of cypherpunks and Nostr freaks, not to mention there are so many different scams using the name “ecash” in their own ways (only the latest being Paul Sztorc’s doomed drivechain fork of bitcoin launching this summer) that it will never be taken seriously. I'd heard, can't remember where, that there's a theory out there that jar jar is in fact a sith who's simply playing dumb as the ultimate 4D chess move. Something about his "accidents" helping the evil forces repeatedly at key moments. Haven't looked into it, but apparently one can develop that theory quite fully.
