I somewhat agree. Braiding is a cool skill and it can look very pretty, but it's still not a very practical management technique... unless it's a windy day or for just generally keeping hair out of the way, but those types of braids aren't exceptionally aesthetic. Coincidentally, a Dutch braid is probably the most aesthetic lazy-braiding technique imo, but once the pattern starts adding little braided sidechains, loops, and whatnot, it loses all utility. The hair is gonna fall loose, get messy, etc.
But again, we're talking day to day. Complex grooming rituals to meet social expectation for special occasions apply to both genders, and that is a different conversation.
Viking style braids look great on long-haired white dudes. Maybe you can grow your hair out long enough to learn to do that? Then sir, you would have a skill to share with your lady-friend, that I am certain will gain you at least one get-out-of-washing-dishes pass 😂 (Maybe you can already braid, I prefer to pretend that you have no clue)

Yeah the settings are very cluttered nowadays but from the side panel try to find the settings and you have to search for "payment targets" in your language if the app is not in English and that's where you can add it
