Egui has this limit. Possibly related to GPU texture limits on many GPUs. In any case, we should at least display a shrunk image and not panick the thread. And that is what I did on the unstable branch yesterday.
Eh, I think the genie is out of the bottle. Better to educate people about OPSEC, and align incentives in the global populous to deter large scale conflict to begin with. You can't eliminate all conflict, but if humanity can avoid the really big wars, then that seems like a win.
We've got some really great clients that support the outbox model and also support Tor natively in the app. That's really great for freedom of speech, since users don't have to feel locked into using the big relays in order to be seen, but can use their own relay or a community relay.
The next big step is going to be easy to run personal or community relays and Blossom servers with Tor endpoints. Is anyone already building something like this? @npub1m2j…3wgu built Haven-Kit, forked from Haven, a while back, but ran into trouble exposing the relay endpoints over Tor. It only wanted to expose the GUI via Tor and that's obviously not ideal.
@npub1syj…f6wl also has Nostr Relay Tray, which is a really easy to run relay that can be exposed to clearnet via a proxy in a single click. Very handy, but no Blossom server integration and no Tor.
Next up is a one click button for people to optimize their PFP, upload to blossom & update kind 0. After supper 🤤
Webm is a container, not a codec. Webm is not widely adopted, mp4 is. And so on…

That's a lot of 1 sat zaps
I wonder how many zaps he had to save to get all those diamond bracelets and stuff
Yours is better but I just had a little something to it🤣

There’s lipstick on the mask too

Everything looks so safe and effective
Is that cocaine all over him?
I think mine is a better optimized version 😂

@nprofile…42y4 loves that idea
Here I optimized your pfp for you

I only see you . Think i blocked/reported the others. nice and quiet, so tidy, without bots and spammers
Though those are quite small profiles... I have seen over 100MB gifs around...
I think he made his tool so the devs would fix their clients, not to shame the users. It’s nothing against the users. How are they supposed to know
Nice to see my vibe got people talking 😁
Problem is many apps give you a URL field.. and I dont know how man people use that vs. upload, but its possible to bypass the compression if you paste a direct URL.
The Lazer eyes are taking up space bro
Your profile on Ditto glitches my eyes. You realy need to fix that before you build a cliënt 😉
It was my first vibe so it's not highly optimized. I'm going to redo it with Phaser eventually. I was clueless then so I just built a game with raw TS 😭

I'm learning, phaser is way more performant.

Whoa there Mr. 1.13MB 👮♂️
That treasures client is fascinating. Finding stuff while touching grass seems more fun than watching Pokemon go somewhere.
Destroys performance in the game. Plus cors is my nemesis, server side fixed that.
Hmmm, I recall someone insisting on a 1080p PFP when only 100x100px is ever visible in the client 🫣🤣🫂
Gigi is sleeping, clankers are spamming.
Nosflare is great. I run one of those.
But if you didn't get a bunch of notification spam before & you're not seeing anything different now, then you're still using less data & you're more protected against future spam.. and a little less centralized to the big relays.
@nprofile…2lxp @nprofile…tkue @nprofile…qlu4 would it be possible to do a head req on avatars before downloading? Have a setting to not dl avatars over a certain size?

Yes, your write relays do follow you to Primal. That's where you send your notes. Your read/inbox relays aren't used in Primal so you'll see different replies there than yakihonne or jumble... unless you're just not getting many bot replies. Then it would all be about the same.
But maybe haven't had all the bot replies that other people have been dealing. 🤷♀️
You can check it against Primal. This setup will change nothing about what you see there.

This is good feedback. Thanks.
It might be faster.. but you should see less spam.
