According to @nprofile…8d64, 99.999% of photos taken are not art. But what about food? What percentage of food is actually art? And do those pierogi make the cut? https://otherstuff.shaving.kiwi/b7334b53220738590df1a508aa73ebd34f10af9a3c077f8cd5e45722946ad06b.webp
I used to agree with them but when life expectancy started to decline it kinda invalidated that thesis. 100 years? Definitely better. The 90s? I'm not so sure.
I’m still gonna punch you for forgetting to set the env vars.

Well if millions of gallons are going into data centers and the same millions are not coming back out... Then that's a problem. I'm thinking aliens from the old TV show "V" level problems.
The water has to be coming out somewhere, if it isn't then there's a huge conspiracy.
All I'm asking you is where you think the hot water is going.
Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System Satoshi Nakamoto satoshin@gmx.com www.bitcoin.org Abstract. A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a financial institution.

Sounds like deep aids in the ass issues 😂
We call that a 50/50/90 situation. Like old USB, 50/50 odds but you somehow get it wrong 90% of the time.
The funniest thing is that many people will mock this Bitcoin bear market and still fail to understand that there is no alternative: either Bitcoin or being a slave to the system.
I know this because over the years I have evaluated all the options, and I would rather lose money occasionally than lose my freedom.
During the #BFF26 today I experienced a pretty bizarre moment when someone asked an artist: "Why are you doing this?" And the artist tried to seriously answer it... My answer would be: "Because I can!"
I feel like Trump didn’t learn anything in his economics class.
It’s legitimately concerning.

Dear diary,
I have been told my rants are insightful. I will be working to have more.

Look at your name. We are allowed to assume it was a joke.

I am sure most if not all of those problems existed well before Ai, and ai will ironically actually fix it because of the fact ai needs just as clean, if not cleaner water than humans do.
Because companies like Amazon, Facebook, Google, etc. will have increased water demands they’re more than likely also willing to contribute to building more water infrastructure which in the end would result in more clean drinking water for people.

Should there be a Nostr client where people have to take an iq to use it, & have it publicly displayed on their profile?

I'm into remote signing to give client devs less authority, not really for nsec security.
The reason taxes are so high is primarily because of Social Services (like Welfare, & Social Security), & military expenditures.
The possibility to have fine grained control over what the app does and what you're connecting to, while learning along the way, is super valuable.
But the mismatch in workflows where neither signer or app memorizes your preferences, or throws increasing requests at you is a nightmare 🫠

I just realized something interesting: Bitcoin will be 18 years old in a few months.
Looking at its behavior over the past several months, it feels like Bitcoin is beginning to emancipate itself.
For years, it largely moved in step with the market, but lately it seems to be carving out its own path.

They likely can't mine at scale because of infrastructure damage, and much of their available energy and resources need to be diverted toward the war.
Yes, Bitcoin can bypass financial sanctions, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're accumulating it. More likely, they're spending it as soon as they receive it. War doesn't allow nations to save, it forces them to spend.
And when Bitcoin is sent to another country to get around transaction, who's to say those counterparties aren't immediately selling it?
If those recipients are converting Bitcoin back into fiat, and there isn't enough buy-side demand to absorb the supply, the fiat price falls.
In that scenario, the Bitcoin network continues functioning exactly as designed, but the market price still dumps because the marginal flow is overwhelmingly sell-side.
