In my world they're both pretty equal imo in terms of complaints (under 30 y/o). Trying to just find people (on both genders) that are above that noise is the difficult part imo. You can't will that into existing. Just trying to be understanding and being available for opportunity is a different place entirely.
That's a symptom of maturity/responsibility. The discovery problem is more real imo.

Don't get all "patriotic" on me. I'm not endorsing this, just reporting what I heard in a comic fashion. It gets crazier if you listen to the whole thing, he equates the 100k assisted suicides in Canada (you prob heard about this) with genocide or eugenics or some such thing. Had to do a double-take when I listened to it.
You're right. Me too, mostly silence, but sometimes I just want to be distracted or entertained but the podcast space, to me, is not worth the cycles as you said. I think i've learned to accept that though, i was looking for people (podcast) to tell me what to know/understand, which is not realistic and irresponsible so no surprise I was disappointing. So, Im trying to lean into that responsibility. Sometimes I just want entertainment though, knowing what I wanted helped me set my expectations accordingly.
So I'm told. It's hard to be sure. Carvallo wrote a pretty well-researched paper btc thing other day, which may not be breaking new ground, but he came with the numbers in one place, which was nice. Have to finish reading that...

It's odd. About half the times on nostr, when replies kinda go off the rails, I'll reread the thread and not be able to spot the inciting incident. Just left assuming there's history I'm unaware of, or that I'm a poor judge of knowing when something is insulting in the first place. Oh well.

It's crazy that we've gotten to the point in tech that, if I'm not paying attention, and have 2-3 commonly offending tabs open in my web browser, my workstation could consume over 200 watt more power than idle because of poor software.
The only thing that saves my electric bill is my 5 minute tab unloaded which shouldn't need to exist but here we are.
Just this month i've been getting calls and hearing stories of work computers (with 12-13 gen I7s in them) becoming lethargic running Teams a browser window, and outlook open. Large companies are literally recycling 3 y/o high end workstations/laptops because they can't run Windows 11, Teams and a few browser tabs without 32gb of system memory.
I built around that after seeing my mute and follow lists get rugged too many times.
The next time you are tempted to feel sorry for young men complaining about how hard it is to find a decent girlfriend, remember all of the kind, productive, helpful, beautiful, graceful, young women you know of, that have never even been asked for a date. And all of the batshit-crazy, hot Mean Girls you know of, that you avoid like the plague because they are monsters, that those same men worship and dream of.

Audiobooks are my go-to for long drives. It isn't a guarantee of quality but it is easier to find something worth the brain cycles.
I guess it depends on the traffic and stuff along the way. I often drive in silence for shorter drives.
What are you looking for? Ministries and missions works that utilize Bitcoin?
Not sure if there's a list out there anywhere, but my church @nprofile…q7vh accepts Bitcoin donations and holds Bitcoin as a savings asset.
I don't know of any missions organizations that have started using Bitcoin to more reliably get funds to their missionaries yet, but that was one of the first things I thought of as a use-case for Bitcoin when I first heard about it.
I'll personally be going to Prague on a mission trip with my family this summer, though, and accept any help with expenses for that in Bitcoin.
