Finally, it's easy to open your home @nprofile…27xq machine to remote users, without relying on slow & unstable TOR, or getting a static public ip address (and configuring port-forwarding on your routing) - using #holesail technology.
The UI allows you to open other Umbrel apps to the world by generating a hs://... URL, to which you can connect from any computer via `npx holesail --connect hs://... --host localhost`, or via the Holesail-Go smartphone app.
The UI also runs as a client, and lets you redirect connections to umbrel.local:<port> to a remote hs://... URL.
I want to do an experiment and open the first lightning channel via holesail, between two #umbrel machines which are both behind a home router (NAT). Who wants to join?
(P.S. don't ask me how holesail works behind the scenes, I only wrapped it with UI and published to the Umbrel app store)

Ok tell me more. I've been nuked off x too many times. I'm looking at farcaster and primal.
Farcaster actually seems pretty cool with miniapps etc, but even with its "high active user count" it feels empty.
By comparison, primal feels way more real and engaging.
What is spasm? How do I use it? Where do I find out more?
I don't want a million features. I just want thinks to work.

This is a Vietnam era C-Ration. I think it started in World War II.
The problem with chasing after big tobacco is that they, Big Tobacco, moved on to food. They are still in the snack, breakfast and middle isle of the grocery store.
Telling people what to do is wrong. Telling people what not to do to me is right.
I wouldn't object to enforcement of bans of smoke or vapor in public spaces such that it's so incredibly inconvenient to bother to do it.
It's actually probably a more fun app technically, but i think primal/nostr seems to attract better ppl
