I was waiting for the twist ending when you admitted this was all fiction, but it never came. Wow, that's cool (assuming you're not pulling our leg)
That's the casualty from their enacted writing. They're opening space about nonlinear ways of thinking, associations, flows as an ontological state of reality. Opening space because it moves against the standard ideas of linear, reproductive and representational concepts. So to actually bring someone on board of that thinking, you need to introduce a sort of cognitive violence. To write plainly and linearly would betray the thing they're advocating against.
Thankfully, we have many secondary sources, like this book which makes their arguments more managable to deal with. 😅

I have to admit there is some great points made in this video
I was thinking of this while working at the first "recreational cannabis" farm where I was employed. The state requires that everyone wear gloves. The company was going through boxes of nitrile gloves daily, as they would frequently rip, and people take them off and throw them away every two hours for break times.
That place was also going through 5-gallon (and sometimes larger) plastic jugs of liquid nutrients constantly. At the same time, needing trellis made out of the same plastic.
I started envisioning a trellis making machine (and a separate glove making machine) that would stay onsite, or be leased for a few days. Toss in the used matter, add some fresh material, and save the landfills.
Of course, the real answer is to do everything a different way instead.

Perhaps the most important comparison an investor must make and one that distinguishes average from great investors, is between fundamentals and expectations. Fundamentals capture a sense of a company’s future financial performance. Value drivers including sales growth, operating profit margins, investment needs and return on investment shape fundamentals. Expectations reflect the financial performance implied by the stock price.
Making money in markets requires having a point of view that is different than what the current price suggests. Michael Steinhardt called this a “variant perception.” Most investors fail to distinguish between fundamentals and expectations. When fundamentals are good they want to buy and when they are poor they want to sell. But great investors always distinguish between the two.

Slate seems to be addressing most of the things I hate about modern vehicles. The EV aspect is much simpler in most ways (I'd theoretically be in the garage less - or developing new skills if the electronics turn out to be shit 😂). I'm considering it as a small truck for my short commutes. Didn't think I'd ever consider an EV in the US. So far they're saying the right things.
