https://www.inkan.cc is currently the only client that implements this. It does require staying up-to-date with on-chain records of delegation and revocation. It's not trivial to implement, but probably worth thinking about over the long term.

Yes, I should add that regular uploads from the inkan client to nostr.build already work well (extremely grateful for that!). Further "supporting" it would mean to make nostr.build itself delegation-aware.
Is there a nip for that or is it implemented only in that app? One constraint I have is not needing to query any external services during authorization. If we have to do some tracking of key revocations or anything like that, then it’ll be impossible for us to accommodate. I haven’t looked at any sample code yet, so just asking for now
Sure, the idea is that Inkan splits the key that secures your identity from the key you use for everyday signing. The identity key stays in cold storage and delegates to the hot signer.
You can see meta’s setup by logging into https://www.inkan.cc with NIP-7. It should show a welcome popup with identities you can follow, including meta’s master identity (i.e. @npub1u28…f93q). If you follow that and then open its profile, you can see its notes and interact with it.
For nostr.build, “supporting” it probably means that when someone authenticates, you check whether the key that signed the authentication is acting on behalf of a master identity, and if so attribute the login/storage account/action to that master identity. Then if the signer is later revoked and replaced, nostr.build can automatically recognize the replacement signer as acting for the same continuous identity. And when you need a historical record of actions attributable to an identity, you can use OTS to make it provable later that the action happened during a period when the on-chain delegation was live.

Why do so many attackers (including BIP110ers) always run out of ideas and just randomly attack Lightning and use emotional MoE arguments?
Makes me more convinced that Lightning is the correct approach 🤣, and that we have the right incentives and game theory for Bitcoin

I don't want to be rude, but:
Bitcoin is following the game theory that I described. That's a good thing. That's why we had to win the blocksize war

Hardware wallets and self-hosted Lightning have been catastrophic for the adoption of Bitcoin as currency. I think this is what we're finding out.
You don't spend money you've put on a hardware wallet, and the "feel" of using an ETF mimics a hardware wallet.
Self-hosted Lightning nodes are constantly offline, erroring out, have channels down, etc. Only the professionally managed ones (including Phoenix) actually work when you need them to work. And people are averse to moving their Bitcoin onto Lightning, as it's a pain to bring it back on-chain, and they get eaten up by fees.
Bitcoin's practical availability mimics a CD (certificate of deposit). I.e., it's purposefully put in places that make it difficult to spend. You need advanced notice and preparation to get it moving, and even then I'm often standing there, watching them fiddle around on their laptop or cell phone like, "Oh, give me a minute; looks like my server is facing a DDoS... erm... oof, kinda doesn't work right now... Don't be hatin, okay, but do you take cash?" On-chain Bitcoin should theoretically be easier, but the way people store on-chain Bitcoin -- locked into a treasure chest and dug into the roots of the tree in the backyard -- it's even less available than Lightning.

Well actually, this is the plan for bitcoin, and it's the right plan

This was a very good episode, thanks Carl and crew. I think it was nice listening to a dev involved in both Bitcoin and freedom tech more broadly.
Obscura looks interesting, and I’ll keep my eyes on it. We’ll have to see how court orders play out when Obscura is inevitably subjected to them. I don’t love the US jurisdiction, but any developed nation shares intelligence anyways. Plus there is the two hop model and good account/payment privacy which mitigates it. If they can solve the VPN reputation issue with connecting to websites that would be HUGE. I feel like the more private and secure a VPN provider is the more it’s abused and therefore the more its IPs get blocked by websites… Improved reputation plus better choice on websites to exclude would make this a no brainer recommendation for normal people who don’t want to deal with the friction (family members etc).
A suggestion for the ungovernable.network site, make it easier to full screen a video. Right now I’ve had to fiddle with either pop out players or opening in a new tab.
