Yeah, guess that makes sense. I knew as soon as yarn mentioned them that I'd been camping all wrong and I now want a hammock, and to go camping
Roads for delivery. What to deliver? The payload. How much? ALL OF IT.

talk about a throwback
you're jumping around. first you say its like fiat and now you're saying it penalizes savers.
SOMEBODY has to pay for network security. we can easily turn it around and say "a hard cap rewards hoarders at the expense of people who make transactions."
tail emission is the only equitable way ALL participants bear the burden of securing the network.
🎉🫂 thank you! It's the little wins, they're going to go on our veggie pizzas later in the week!
Building an SEO platform this morning. Wish me luck. I gave up on shipping 🤣

Most men I know inherited the exact same goal from our culture without ever questioning it. To make enough money that the options open up. Get the bigger house, the nicer car etc. Get to the point where nobody tells you what to do. Just keep climbing until the view finally looks like the life you were promised.
Let's call that life "the yacht." Not literally a yacht, maybe, but you know what I mean. It’s the arrival. It’s when the hustle pays off, the world confirms you've made it, and you finally have money, status, and freedom from the grind. Everything the system dangled in front of you since you were a kid.
Some guys actually get there. And a lot of them are miserable in a way they can't even explain. They got exactly what they were supposed to want, it didn't work, and now they have nowhere to put that feeling.
Picture a guy on a giant yacht with unlimited money, designer drugs, booze, and a bunch of people telling him how great he is. He’s standing at the bow, thinking about jumping off. What's running through his head isn't gratitude. It's the realization of how much he sacrificed and humiliated himself to get there.
Then picture a guy on a beat up pontoon boat with his sunburned kids. He is so much happier than the yacht guy. Why?
Because the pontoon boat guy has nothing the world told you to want. The boat's a beater. His kids are arguing about who lost the good lure. He's probably got debt, a job with hard seasons, and a life nobody's ever going to write a book about. He didn't win by any measure the yacht guy was using.
But someone actually needs him. Not in the abstract, not professionally. His daughter needs him to bait her hook. His son is watching him to figure out how a man carries himself when the fish aren't biting and the afternoon goes sideways. His wife knows what he looks like when he's struggling, and she's still right there.
He is woven into the actual fabric of specific people's lives in ways that are irreplaceable, ordinary, and completely invisible to anyone outside of it.
The yacht guy traded that. Maybe slowly, maybe without noticing, but somewhere on the way up he made the calculation that the "arrival" was worth the cost, and he paid it. He optimized so hard for what the world gives credit for that he ended up with an audience of strangers and a hollow space where the real thing was supposed to be.
That's not freedom. That's a specific kind of prison that's hard to describe because, from the outside, it looks like winning.
The point isn't that money is bad or that ambition ruins you. The pontoon boat guy might make decent money and be plenty ambitious. The difference is whether the life you're building has people in it who genuinely need you to show up. People who would feel your absence as a real loss. People you are accountable to in ways that can't be delegated or replaced.
That's what actually holds a man together. Being needed by people who know you.
You can lose the house. You can get deplatformed, fired, cancelled, or go completely broke. None of that touches what the pontoon boat guy has, because none of it lives on a server somewhere. It lives in the faces of people who already know exactly who you are.
I think most men figure this out eventually. The lucky ones figure it out before they've already paid for the yacht.

Get a fucking job or create real value somehow. The stock market is a rigged piece of shit anyway. I'm glad I chose to avoid it early on.

Raw nsec or Google... Oof. That's where I'm out. Best of luck to the Wisp team. It was nice while it lasted.
If all this on-chain zap controversy ends up with many clients having lots of code for doing on-chain operations, then it will all have been worth it if the clients eventually extend to full coinjoin support
Come for the on chain zaps, stay for the large scale deployment of privacy tech such as nostr-coordinated coinjoins

A protocol celebrated as the internet s last bastion of free speech has been weaponized. Researchers have just dropped a functional proof of concept that transforms Nostr into an undetectable command-and control framework for botnets. Here is why this changes everything.

You're obsessed with the Japanese bond yields😂😂😂😂. All things considered, their GDP to debt ratio is the most advanced of any G8 nation. It means fuck all, it merely means that they're the outlier of the whole thing going to shit, which, will happen. Sooner rather than later🤷🏻♂️.
