Where can you find dragons fighting in the night sky? In the southern constellation of the Altar: Ara . The dragons are, of course, actually made of suggestively shaped gas and dust. The celestial home of the mythological battling beasts is cataloged as NGC 6188 and located about 4,000 light year s away near the edge of a large molecular cloud . Massive, young stars of the embedded Ara OB1 association were formed there only a few million years ago, sculpting the dark shapes and powering the nebular glow with stellar winds and intense ultraviolet radiation. Joining NGC 6188 on this cosmic canvas, visible toward the lower right, is unusual emission nebula NGC 6164 , also created by one of the region's massive stars . This impressively wide field picture , captured from Queensland , Australia , spans over 2 degrees (four full Moon s).

### 为什么老一辈的人似乎更坚韧，而年轻人却更容易陷入抑郁？

这个提问本身就充满了一种令人作呕的幸存者偏差和对苦难的廉价美化。
我在精神科临床一线这么多年，每天都要面对几十张绝望的脸。我听腻了那些把麻木当坚强、把压抑当美德的陈词滥调。你们看到的所谓老一辈的坚韧，很大程度上是一种因为长期创伤而形成的防御性迟钝。而年轻人的所谓脆弱，恰恰是因为他们的感知系统还在正常工作，他们还在试图在这个病态的过载社会里寻找作为人的尊严。
先说老一辈。
你们看到他们吃苦耐劳，看到他们从不抱怨。你们就断言这叫坚韧。这根本不是坚韧，这是心理学术语中的述情障碍。
那个年代的生存逻辑很简单：活下去。为了活下去，任何消耗能量的情绪反应都是累赘。恐惧会让你在逃难中腿软，悲伤会让你在饥荒中多消耗热量，愤怒会让你在动荡的局势中惹来杀身之祸。于是他们的大脑被迫切断了情绪感受与意识层面的连接。这是一种生物性的屏蔽机制。
我在门诊遇到过无数这样的老年患者。他们来挂号从来不说自己难受，只说头疼、背疼、胃烧得慌、喘不上气。你给他们做遍了全身检查，CT、核磁、胃镜全做了一遍，结果显示器官功能比我都好。但他们就是痛苦。
这叫躯体化障碍。他们的痛苦没有出口，大脑把精神层面的绝望转化成了肉体层面的疼痛。这根本不是什么坚韧，这是精神创伤的内爆。
根据《柳叶刀》相关研究数据，全球60岁以上老年人中，未被诊断的抑郁状态比例高达12%至20%，而在有躯体疾病的老人中，这个数字甚至飙升到40%以上。他们没有确诊，是因为他们根本不懂得表达我很难过，他们只会说我这里疼那里疼，或者干脆选择在沉默中自我了断。你们知道中国农村老人的自杀率有多高吗。那种喝农药上吊的决绝，根本不给你任何干预的机会。
这叫坚韧吗。这叫习得性无助后的彻底放弃。
这种沉默的代价，是他们彻底丧失了共情能力。他们对自己残忍，对子女也残忍。因为他们潜意识里觉得，活着就是受罪，这点痛苦算什么。这种情感屏蔽机制代际传递下来，就成了你们口中的坚强。
再说年轻人。
为什么年轻人看起来容易抑郁。
因为生存环境变了。人类大脑的进化速度，远远赶不上社会结构的变迁速度。
我们的前额叶皮层是为了在丛林里识别野兽、在部落里搞好人际关系而设计的。它不是为了处理每天几万条碎片化信息、不是为了应对这种24小时在线的社交凝视、不是为了在几亿人的竞争池里卷那一点点生存资源的。
现在年轻人的大脑，长期处于一种非稳态负荷过载的状态。
这是一个非常核心的概念。非稳态负荷是指身体为了适应反复出现的慢性压力而付出的生理代价。
老一辈的压力是脉冲式的。没饭吃了，拼命干活，吃饱了，压力解除，大脑回路可以休息。现在的压力是弥散式的、背景式的。房贷、KPI、同龄人压力、阶级固化、职场PUA。这些压力源就像空气里的PM2.5，看不见摸不着，但每一秒都在腐蚀你的海马体。
这种持续的低强度压力，比剧烈的生存危机更致命。因为它让你的HPA轴（下丘脑-垂体-肾上腺轴）全天候处于亢奋状态，皮质醇水平居高不下。高浓度的皮质醇会直接导致海马体萎缩，那是主管记忆和情绪调节的核心区域。
这在临床影像学上是看得见的物理损伤。我看过二十岁孩子的脑部扫描图，那个海马体的体积，有时候比五十岁的人还要糟糕。这是生理病变，不是什么想不开，不是什么矫情。
我再给你们抛一个数据。精神疾病的遗传度大概在37%左右。但这并不意味着只有基因决定一切。表观遗传学告诉我们，环境压力会打开那些原本沉默的易感基因。现在的社会环境，就是一个巨大的、高效的抑郁症诱发孵化器。
你们指责年轻人敏感。
我要说，敏感是进化的礼物，但在病态社会里成了诅咒。
年轻人的神经系统分辨率极高。他们能捕捉到人际关系中微小的恶意，能感知到宏大叙事背后的荒谬，能体会到流水线工作对人性的异化。
这本来是人类文明进步的动力。正是因为对痛苦敏感，人类才会去发明麻药，去改革制度，去创作艺术。但在一个要求人变成螺丝钉的社会里，这种高分辨率的感知力就成了最大的痛苦来源。
这就好比你给一台只能跑DOS系统的老电脑，装了一个4K分辨率的显卡和最新的3A大作。系统当然会崩。老一辈是DOS系统，运行简单指令，稳定耐造。年轻人是高精度的神经网络，需要复杂的运算和巨大的算力支持，一旦过载，就是系统级崩溃。
我必须讲一个我在诊室里的真实场景。
那是一对父子。父亲五十多岁，一脸风霜，手上有老茧。儿子二十三岁，刚毕业的程序员，穿着格子衫，目光涣散，缩在椅子里发抖。
父亲一直在拍桌子。他说大夫你给他开点药，让他赶紧好起来去上班。他不就是不想干活吗，谁想干活啊，我都干了三十年了，累不死人。现在的孩子就是没吃过苦，把他扔到我们那个年代饿三天就好了。
我当时直接打断了他。我指着他儿子手腕上密密麻麻的割痕。
我问那位父亲，你觉得这是怕累吗。
那孩子抬起头，眼神空洞地看着我说，大夫，我不怕累。我可以连续写代码三十个小时。但我不知道为什么写。我觉得我就像一段还在运行但是已经没有意义的代码。我想删除我自己。
这就是本质区别。
老一辈的苦难是外部的，敌人在对面，你可以恨地主，恨天气，恨命运。这种恨是有对象的，是有力量的。
年轻人的苦难是内部的，是存在主义危机。当温饱不再是问题，意义的匮乏就成了最大的杀手。他们找不到敌人。敌人是这个庞大的系统，是虚无，甚至是他们自己。这种无力感会内化攻击自体，导致严重的自我厌恶。
那个父亲哑火了。他理解不了这种痛苦。在他的认知里，痛苦必须有物理载体，比如伤口，比如饥饿。他理解不了心智层面的崩塌比肉体的溃烂更痛。
社会学里有个概念叫相对剥夺感。老一辈是在普遍贫穷中通过纵向比较获得满足感，今年吃上了肉，比去年好，就很开心。年轻人是在普遍富裕中通过横向比较获得挫败感。打开手机，全网人均年薪百万，你月薪八千，你就是废品。这种全方位的社会比较，每时每刻都在摧毁年轻人的自尊体系。
更可怕的是，现在的年轻人被剥夺了发疯的权利。
以前的人不开心了，可以在田间地头骂娘，可以喝酒打架。现在呢。你在办公室发个脾气，明天就被HR约谈，后天就被优化。你在网上发个牢骚，可能会被人肉搜索。情绪的宣泄渠道被高度管控，所有的负面能量只能向内压缩。
这种向内的高压压缩，最终造就了抑郁症的高发。
抑郁症本质上是一种攻击性的内转。当一个人无法改变环境，无法攻击施害者，甚至无法识别施害者时，他唯一的攻击对象就是自己。
我还要强调一点，关于诊断标准的变迁。
过去几十年的精神医学发展，让我们对心理健康的认知颗粒度变细了。五十年前，除非你疯到满街乱跑或者彻底木僵，否则没人觉得你有病。现在我们有了DSM-5，我们能够识别出轻度的、中度的情绪障碍。
这不仅是患病率的增加，更是识别率的提升。
数据显示，近十年全球青少年心境障碍的诊断率上升了24%以上。这不全是坏事。这意味着更多的人开始正视自己的精神状态，开始求救。
别把这种求救当成软弱。承认自己病了，需要极大的勇气。
在我的诊室里，那些敢于坐下来，直视我的眼睛，清晰地描述自己想死念头的年轻人，比那些只会死扛、最后在沉默中爆发的人要勇敢得多。他们是在对抗基因里的求生本能，对抗社会的污名化，来为自己争取一点喘息的权利。
老一辈的坚韧，某种程度上是一种幸存者偏差的傲慢。他们活下来了，掌握了话语权，于是开始重新定义历史，把当年的无奈粉饰成主动的选择。
他们指责年轻人脆弱，是因为他们恐惧。他们恐惧承认自己当年受的苦其实毫无意义，他们恐惧承认自己其实也病入膏肓。承认年轻人的痛苦，就等于否定了他们一辈子的生存哲学。
我要告诉所有正在看这篇文字的年轻人。
你的抑郁，不是你的错，也不是你的软弱。
这是你的身体和大脑，在替你向这个疯狂的世界抗议。
当一个系统不仅要求你996，还要求你感恩戴德；当一种文化不仅剥削你的剩余价值，还要求你情绪稳定；当一个社会把所有的结构性矛盾都转嫁给个人的努力不足时。
抑郁，是你仅存的诚实。
不要去模仿老一辈的坚韧。那种坚韧是把灵魂阉割掉换来的铁布衫。我们要的不是在那层铁布衫里窒息，我们要的是作为一个有血有肉的人，真实地活着。哪怕是痛着活。
如果你感觉撑不住了，去就医，去吃药，去休息。这不丢人。
大脑里的神经递质失衡，血清素、多巴胺、去甲肾上腺素的浓度异常，就像糖尿病人的胰岛素分泌不足一样，是纯粹的生理问题。没人会指责一个糖尿病人不够坚强，所以也没人有资格指责你为什么不开心。
至于那些还要继续给你们灌输吃苦是福的人，离他们远点。他们的苦难是他们的墓志铭，不需要成为你的座右铭。
每一代人有每一代人的炼狱。老一辈走出了饥饿的荒原，我们正在穿越意义的沙漠。这片沙漠里没有路标，指南针在乱转。在这个过程中，迷路、脱水、甚至绝望倒下，都是正常的反应。
别让任何人的傲慢定义你的痛苦。
在这个硬邦邦的世界里，保持敏感和脆弱，本身就是一种最高级的反抗。因为这证明，你还没有被彻底异化成一块冷冰冰的石头。
懂了吗。
保持痛感。保持愤怒。那是你活着的证据。
