My comments were not from any kind of a subjective viewpoint but from a "life in the round" perspective. Also, things can be "harmful" but also beneficial. Blasting cancer patients with radiation is harmful (not least to cancer cells which are living organisms themselves) but presumably many would prefer that to leaving it be.
Pathology works on the basis that there is a "right" way for things to be. But, guess what?
Nature doesn't.

Was just out for a walk. Spontaneously gave Nazi salutes to four passing Teslas and was unfortunate enough to be stopped and questioned by two similarly passing officers of the law. So whats true of capitalism is true of sex capitalism. It works by the same values (or lack of them). In that respect the content is merely that obtained as cheaply as possible which can raise the most profit.
My current interest in it is in how physical love is turned against itself by pornographers when turned into commercial product.

I am used to taking seriously things that others have taken flippantly. Often this is when someone casually mentions a thing I have been thinking deeply about - as in this case.
I think that my point still stands: no one is making porn to lose money. They are making porn to make it. And because they conspicuously succeed it only encourages them all the more.
In my wider thinking this links into capitalism and not merely having no sexual discipline.

I would say it is because financial incentive. Al things cost money to make and run and no one is paying out their own money so that random people can get off. Porn is simply the most obvious way to generate cash for acquisitive interests.
