Did say to Jane who runs the ukestra with her husband Mark before i did the song, "I always feel like i should be apologising before i sing."
And got told off (a well-deserves verbal smack).
So some attitude adjustment happening there. 🤣

And we had so much fun making some music.
I even got to sing Rainbow Connection. Our version felt a smidge low for me but feel like i didn't let Kermie down.

Had an extra uke practice today since our gig is tomorrow. We finished the rehearsals for the gig last Sunday but have been going over some of the songs in regular practices. Mine's usually Monday nights but i needed extra time. And it was fabbo!

Sat with some uke players i didn't really know and they were lovely! Lots of nice chit chat about what was going on. And when the subject of recent surgeries and health stuff came up, told them about Sidney the kidney. Had some great advice and very reassuring things to say. So kind!

Definitely needed a huge coffee to fuel all of the morning's activities. Just coming down from the caffeine now. Not sure whether to try for a nap after not sleeping so well at nightvor try to get some life admin done.

Warm day today but i'm still having a cook up. Making soup and also some salmon and sweet potato patties. The soup will be non-vegetarian by the end but still in vego format here. Also have a whole butternut pumpkin roasting up (it'll be tidied up then added into the soup) plus kumara steaming stovetop for the patties. #cooking

and it's not even their urn, it's the venue's. Gives me a good reason to bring out all the fancy cup and plate sets (including some of mum's). Rarely if ever use some - might as well enjoy them properly. And i'll have enough, even if everyone who RSVP'd turns up.

Have been feeling crap like i'm coming down with something. No obviously fluey symptoms. Off my tucker which is usually a sign. Have spent today in bed though i don't really feel *that* bad but if i get up and try to do anything or even sit for a bit, i'm stuffed.
