Strange how under American laws anyone can have a gun, and do a bunch of shooting, and all that’s offered to children & their parents is ‘thoughts and prayers’ but someone shoots off gunfire within a ten mile radius of #FeloniousTrump and it’s arrests, assassination attempted, and major headlines worldwide. So Labour told us there is no money. There is a £22bn black hole in the economy/books. And that’s why poor, disabled, pensioners, people living on the margins of food, fuel poverty with young families must not have any support or help; but ‘its important that leaders [and their unelected wives] look their best’ so despite a salary approaching £200K PA plus generous expenses, they take [need] free clothing and more from sponsors’. Surely, if the whole country is That Poor, the leaders should be wearing clothing from their local charity shops, or from a local designer/maker, and supporting small business within the UK?
This #Labour government is a bunch of self-serving hypocritical liars, only in it for themselves.
Nothing is being done to tax the wealthy, to recover the Covid misspends, to help the economy, or those on low fixed incomes.
Everything is being done to help themselves, to help their sponsors, to privatise the few remaining public services.
No money for the Casement Stadium in Belfast, no money for the Cities improvement budgets, no money for Cold Weather Payments, no money for Children if you have more than two. Nothing to control rents, to fix mouldy housing, to force privatised water companies to repair their system that handed them profits; nothing for new / repaired / upgraded schools or hospitals’ no mention of vaccination programmes for Covid, Polio, TB, Whooping Cough, Flu, Measles etc. Even the free public transport for pensioners is now under consideration for removal/restriction.
What a bunch of dirty self-interested liars this Labour goverment is turning out to be. We had fair warning they would not be great, but they are a million times worse than anyone imagined already. Even the worst days of Johnson [Shag-Yeti] were not as profligate as Starmer and his associates are already.
They have handed the far-right, who plan a big event around Downing St at the end of October a massive opportunity already, and the likes of 🐸 is seizing it, as is Robinson, Fox, et al.
I’m just a bit cross about it, especially as I live in Northern Ireland, and we don’t even have the opportunity to vote [or not] for these b*****ds; but we must suffer their rules and decisions. 🤬.
Wales and Scotland at least have voting options that we do not. Unfortunately for Wales & Scotland too many were deceived and their devolution is rapidly disappearing.

CWP to pensioners cancelled completely.
Two child cap on children’s allowance retained.
Nothing to be done to recover the billions lost/defrauded/siphoned off during Covid by government linked companies and individuals
I’m sure there’s going to be a lot more of this, yet money for Tata steel, for sending ever more weapons to Israel, etc.
Not a whisper about taxing the very wealthy, about rescinding some of the most repressive laws and legislations brought in by the Tories - in fact Labour appear to be using it to continue attempting to repress concerns about Gaza, West Bank, environment and more.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a government so quickly and completely destroy any possibility of goodwill to repair the horrors of the last fifteen plus years.

If you do have documents you don’t need to come, because you are not at risk. And your actual child isn’t a ‘family member’ either. I just read that he’s been sharing all kinds with Alan Milburn, [former Labour HS] who isn’t elected and should have no part in decisions this government is making. Every time I look around, I see Blair, Mandelson and ghosts of that Labour Party pulling all the strings - important as so many of them are now in powerful positions of influence and control of many businesses - they stand to make a lot of money from this Labour, if the public don’t robustly object, and start doing it already.

Happy shots birthday. I wish we could get Covid shots here, and flu ones, but they have changed the age eligibility from 65 to 75, so we can’t get them. We could pay for flu ones in some limited places, but there’s no Covid ones to be had, even to pay for. We can get shingles ones also, but they are very expensive for anyone not eligible for them.

Of course he does - and not a syllable about the thousands and thousands [millions?]of Palestinians murdered by the Israeli forces since the Nabka. Does anyone know for sure how these six hostages died? Was it starvation? Illness? Killed by the Hamas? Killed by the IDF, as has happened previously? Obviously no hostages should be killed by their captors in any situation, and this whole genocide should cease already. There will be no winners, even if Israel exterminates every Palestinian in West Bank & Gaza. That Netenyahu refused a peace deal, a ceasefire, and exchange of hostages, prisoners etc at the outset is to the shame of Israel, and all her supporters. Hamas are no heroes either - seizing hostages in order to make whatever point they want to make has not been a successful operation for them - it has brought an unconscionable horror on many innocent people especially the babies. There are no rights in any of this - just levels of wrong and horror.
Other countries [especially our western ‘democratic’ ones] really should butt out of all these wars, and stop suppling any military support to any side.
We can see from Afghanistan, Vietnam, Cambodia, Iraq, and more that all our ‘democracies’ do is make things much worse for the peoples who live in these places. I had this conversation with a relative [in-law] recently. He was taking the usual racist, exclusion line of hostility. I replied, that we as a nation and other European countries have been invading their countries, taking everything of worth, destroying their ecological & environmental balance, impoverishing, bombing/killing/enslaving and destabilising them for hundreds of years already.
