I view technology as a tool for salvation and also for oppression. The answer probably lies in changing the system as there is likely no other practical workaround.
The tech tool is powerful, but it cuts both ways.
I believe you refer to crypto and privacy tools as the positive disruptors of the paradigm.
But without complete end-to-end self sovereignty of the tech, those efforts will be inneffective.
In practice: For crypto, at the end of the day most (all?) of the spending is still done with fiat.
For privacy, most devices still run an OS that will forward the info to Prism after it is decrypted on the client.

I think this is absolutely right, but trivializes it to be a small vs big government issue.
Government will always look to expand and will always get people to support the expansion. They will succeed.
That said, a government can be big without resorting to death and destruction as a way of doing business like the US does.
Government will tend to cede control to the oligarchy, and this inevitable so an extent. Especially in a representative democracy like in America.
The balance of power is not on the 3 branches of government, that is self policing and has fialed. We need to look past this failed mechanism.

The technical definition of "dictator" is a government that governs autocratically (Not for the people, but for the special interests).
My point is that dictaroship is a flawed label because it is weaponized.
Non western regimes are mostly dictatorial (in practice), and representative democracies (US vassals and Zionist owned mostly) are non "dictatorial", so they are implied to be "good" or "better".
For example, in the US the government (100%, 1000%) doesn't represent or respect the wish of the people, majority or minority, doesn't matter.
The label given to the US government is "non dictatorial", so it is implied that it is "good", "better", etc. Many of us know better.
People will tell you (Especially in NOSTR), the US is a brutal oligarchy and is controlled by the AIPAC lobby to the extreme detriment to the people. But yet, it is "non dictatorial", so it is "good".

This will be long, but I put thought into it, which is not normal. So consider this:
- Dictator/non dictator is a weaponized label, Trump is democratically elected, but he acts as a dictator. Putin is (arguably) democratically elected and acts as a dictator.
In fact, most governments is dictatorial, and that's why there are so many anarchists.
I would not use the label because they are favorable to the west, just semantically.
- There are advantages to representative democracy (Modi, Trump): There is a need to not be too overt so as to not let people know that power behind the scenes is pulling all the strings (and they are)
- There are advantages to dictatorships (Putin, Xi): The dictator is clearly a target, everyone wants him dead, and he will die and someone new will come in. Putin will die and something else will come to be.
- The disadvantage of dictatorship is that you effectively have a "King" who could and usually do crazy nasty shit.
- The disadvantage of representative democracy is that the system will never change. 95% of people think the problem is the "other" party, and that voting is the key to a good government. So you will live forever in an oligarchy that gets shittier and over time.
Since there are advantages and disadvantages to both, and the label is weaponized by western (Zionist owned) media. Wouldn't it be better to stop relying on labels and arguing whether a the leader (or the oligarchy that control the leader) is good or bad?
