Why does cryptocurrency feel like a cult? BeCaUsE eVeRy OnE sHoUlD uSe It, so say proponents.
Why, exactly? So my financial transactions are public record on a blockchain? So I can add even MORE intermediaries between me and the person I am trying to send money to? So my money can be potentially taken due to malware with zero recourse? And to pay whom, exactly?
Don't tell me "this crypto is more secure" either. As someone who's been doing #cybersecurity for 30 years, I know better.

cats grow into paws like that.
When I first got together with my ex, she had adopted a cat with large paws like that. He turned into a 20 pound monstrosity with almost no body fat and had an attitude to match.
Clipping his claws was a two-person job and required a shield to ensure he didn’t take off a layer of skin when the process pissed him off (which it always did).

I’m of a couple of opinions:
1. These people do us a favor by staying “over there” because of “wrongthink.”
2. People that might know the truth might be shut out of finding it because some admins think “wrongthink” should be eliminated.
Those who seek the truth will find it. Those who actively suppress the truth will eventually pay the price for doing so because Karma.

I had an interest at an early age for being a teacher. My career path has put me in positions to do this in various capacities, but I suspect it’s been to prepare me for teaching something of much greater importance…the stuff I’m just starting to learn about now, possibly.

An offhanded comment from @npub1vlu…xzzu led me to read this series of books written a century ago about the spiritual journey of a pupil learning from a Master. It’s also articulated a lot of what I’ve figured out on my own about more spiritual and esoteric matters.
I have much to learn about the ways of the Universe. I am eager to learn the truth and help others find their own way. Even so, a teacher cannot teach you everything. Some things…can only be experienced, not explained.

Happened to my mother, who quite literally drank herself to death. She basically alienated everyone in her life (me included) because none of us had any idea which version of my mom they'd be talking to at any given time.

I graduated from a Jesuit university and one of the most offensive things I experienced was a on-campus mass. Thankfully I only had to do it once as part of a class assignment.
