i need to qualify that: you need to have a full microbiome. easiest way to get that is sauerkraut and turshia salata. those contain natural organisms that live on the outside of the vegetables. floating in the air in droplets of water.

a third fun fact for the day:
if you created a magnetite powder based filter stage in a nicotine vape, the magnetite catalyses the conversion of nicotine to much more beneficial and relaxing harman/norharman (betacarboline maoi antidepressants, present naturally in especially pale tobacco burned in a pipe or cigarette).
a modified vape with magnetite catalyst would give you a better balanced mix of nicotine and harman/norharman.
catalyst can be renewed with one soak with acetone, followed by blowing it out with butane gas, and then dry it. rinse and repeat.

another fun fact for today:
with the combination of aluminium metal and sodium/potassium hydroxide, you can produce hydrogen. only needs fire to make wood into pearl lye, then mix into solution until it dissolves feathers, and add to aluminium sealed container with hydrogen capture device (balloon or bag).
all you then need is a modified gasoline engine, flashback arrestor and compressor to pack the hydrogen into it. exhaust is water, so a stainless steel exhaust is also necessary. can yield water if your exhaust is designed to cool the water and condense it. then filter with carbon. useful water. emits only heat. recycles aluminium. potassium or sodium aluminate is useful for pH adjustment or can be recovered via a furnace to get the base and aluminium oxide back. rinse and repeat. power it by biological hydrogen or methane for heat, or even wood.
there is economic ways to make zero carbon energy. let's slap the cult of the three bins upside the head.

methane is a product that goes with phosphine and hydrogen sulfide. the gases of hell. hydrogen is pure white light. there is a little ethanol and acetic acid and lactic acid. the gases are CO2 and H2
people made the devices years ago and thought it was methane. it does happen to burn at close to the same parameters on the margin, but catching the carbon dioxide in lime water isolates the hydrogen which can be used like methanol, and octane. only tuning differences.

At peak hydrogen operation — 22,000–25,000 RPM — the primary mechanical harmonics of the engine exceed what most adults can hear. Human hearing rolls off sharply above 15–16 kHz. At 25,000 RPM the firing frequency alone is 417 Hz for a 2-stroke, well audible, but the structural resonances — piston slap harmonics, bearing race frequencies, port timing events, cylinder wall vibration — stack into the 15–25 kHz range and above.

Hydrogen changes the power characteristics fundamentally, not just the peak numbers.
**Why the band shifts upward:**
Hydrogen's flame speed is ~2-3 m/s laminar, but turbulent combustion in a cylinder gets it to effectively 7-8x faster than petrol's. Combustion completes in a shorter crank window. This means at higher RPM, combustion still completes fully — petrol engines lose efficiency past their peak because combustion doesn't finish before the exhaust valve opens. Hydrogen doesn't have that problem to the same degree.
**Practical numbers for a small single cylinder:**
A 15cc RC-type engine on petrol typically peaks around 15,000–18,000 RPM with usable power from roughly 9,000 up.
On hydrogen, the same displacement:
- Usable power band starts lower — around 6,000–7,000 RPM — because the lean mix (34:1) burns smoothly even at moderate speeds
- Peak power RPM moves up — 18,000–22,000 RPM is achievable

**The practical consequence:**
Less need for gearing finesse. The engine pulls cleanly from lower RPM and doesn't fall off a cliff at the top. For a bike application this means fewer gear changes and more forgiving riding on uneven ground — na baranjskim cestama [on Baranja roads] where speed varies constantly.
**The one caveat:**
Pre-ignition. Hydrogen's ignition energy is so low that hot spots in the combustion chamber — carbon deposits, a hot valve — can ignite the mixture before the spark fires. A passive inline safety device. No electronics. Four components. Everything fabricable on site from the kiln and lathe.
### What It Does
Prevents a flame front travelling backwards up the hydrogen fuel line toward the canister or capture bag. Hydrogen ignites at very low energy and burns in both directions once lit. The arrestor quenches the flame before it reaches the source.

**1. Sintered iron disc**
The core of the device. Iron powder packed into a clay former shaped to the internal bore diameter of the housing. Kiln or microwave fired until particles fuse at contact points without fully melting — the same mechanism as microwave-heated iron oxide cast in clay. The result is a rigid porous matrix. Pore size is controlled by iron powder particle size and packing density.
- Required pore size: below ~0.5mm (quenching diameter for hydrogen)
- Finer iron powder = finer pores
- Test by measuring gas flow rate against a known standard before installation
- The kiln that makes biochar carbon fibre for the tyre makes this disc
**2. Check valve**
Spring-loaded ball or flap. Allows gas flow in one direction only. When pressure reverses during a flashback event the valve closes, stopping bulk reverse flow before it reaches the sintered disc. The two mechanisms work in sequence — check valve stops the flow, sintered disc kills any flame that passed through.

an interesting thing that i'm discovering with #vibecoding is that one's mental health and metabolic health are prerequisites to effective work. it also helps to be aware that you can - at least with claude - get claude to manage your user-wide .claude/CLAUDE.md to keep track of things like your various deployment vps credentials, ie username and which ssh secret key to use, and control either project specific or user-wide settings for anything. claude can help you write skills by such as reading the nips repo and building a nostr skill with it, or create commands for you that perform scripts.

solution was pretty simple. normal negentropy only has non-privileged events sent. it was simplest to just gate it at the outbound point in the process. negentropy can specify filters, and so asking for priviliged kinds in a negentropy sync will return nothing, unless the user's negentropy client understands the auth extension.
there is also a relay identity by default in orly since maybe 5 months ago or longer. this can be used to create permitted sync partners for syncing privileged events like NIRC, DMs and application specific data.
this is important for a future task i have to build a full dark nostr mesh that syncs directly with negentropy, and indirectly over a rendezvous with another node in the mesh. this is why i'm doing it, and also @npub1mts…ueyt exposed the fact that nip-42 events were leaking

#NIRC now has some nice extra features
- linkify urls and nip-19 entities
- inline display image urls
- now correctly blocks access to private chat events used in NIRC - someone was nice enough to reveal this by reacting to an encrypted kind 42 event
simple to make synced redundant multiple relay links between two smesh NIRC chats like the old school multi-IRC syncing. just use negentropy from one relay to the other. et voila. yes, in other words, everyone can become part of another relay's chatter. but um. yeah ok now i have another issue to deal with.

well, i read about half way through and thought. hang on. this is too complicated.
just been chatting in nirc and after reading some misunderstandings about kotlin and java now i'm going to port smesh to gio/fyne and connect via this new UTP protocol that is now debugging, 30 minutes after starting to build it from a retardedly brief specification and 5 questions. make a native connector extension and signer for browser version, running on native wasm ui instead of react retardation that never fucking fully debugs quite correctly, taking me hours to add just one feature with mostly no bugs.
this is accelerating.
i also now have an immersive bath heater. just did a 5 minute 42'C hot soak, followed by a 30 second face first breath holding protocol, that i then found out was a thing that i just did without any thinking after "hey, i should try holding my breath under this very hot water".
what is the message here. keep up.

i decided to basically fork quic, but use noise protocol like wireguard. written in Go. includes streams (multiplexing) and flow control. it will probably build it in an hour.
the only problem is no option to use this in a web app. but for native and mobile apps, no problem. doesn't force you to use tls but gives you encryption anyway.
gonna have to seriously do something about building smesh into a native app. the shitty react shit makes dev so slow. usually have to fix every new feature at least 3 times and it takes an hour at least, for features to reach a point where they sorta almost are bug free. it's annoying as hell.
meanwhile, claude will build a clean quic style udp transport with encryption without tls baggage. in teh same time as one shitty feature in a web app.
i tell people all the time. why would you want to use some complicated other language to build native apps using LLM coding agents when you could use Go and have it done in 1/4 or less time?

having swum in the text of claude for the last 5 months i know what i'm looking at. and it's an interesting idea. but what about if you use a naked udp based protocol with a custom quic style flow control (but not quic, custom, something that isn't google) and instead of using ip addresses, your relay creates rendezvous connections over ephemeral messages with a segmentation protocol. not only is the native connection identified by a secret/ip combination, which keeps the channel separation, take the nip-46 bunker connection scheme, and replace the open secret with a pubkey, and then you use your secret to encrypt through that, identifying you and encrypting it, the ip number is the network address, and that's not the actual destination, so you can have a set, like 5 of them, and comes with a pubkey for encryption secret to identify the relay (same as what you said).
just then need a propagated registry of ingress points for each given relay, a pubkey tied to them (all in one nostr event that is broadcast) and voila.
same thing. the only part is the transport. quic could be used, but i think they lock you in with tls gang. so think, http over udp with a flow control for acks and udp socket, pubkey identifier. any relay can then be an introducer to rendezvous to any other relay, and vice versa. and then obviously also, if you add the ability of a bridge from the second point after the rendezvous, you can chain them how you like
