methane is a product that goes with phosphine and hydrogen sulfide. the gases of hell. hydrogen is pure white light. there is a little ethanol and acetic acid and lactic acid. the gases are CO2 and H2
people made the devices years ago and thought it was methane. it does happen to burn at close to the same parameters on the margin, but catching the carbon dioxide in lime water isolates the hydrogen which can be used like methanol, and octane. only tuning differences.
