I've discovered that dark brown sugar and honey is a good substitute for maple syrup in coffee. Honey alone doesn't get the right depth.
Enjoying my afternoon cuppa ginger chamomile tea, while I contemplate the state of the world.
Today, I made an Iranian friend. I think given that our countries are at war and mine started it, I did well navigating the conversation. Though, I was on the verge of tears once with the pain I sensed--she hasn't heard from her family in four weeks. We have plans to meet on Monday to practice Dutch together.
We both agreed that while the rich fight for resources, the citizens are the ones who always foot the bill, including with their lives. It is truly disgusting.
Keep building. Keep creating joy.

I went to give my seedlings their evening check and found a big ol' toxic yellow parasol growing amongst my baby celeries 🫠 I've heard these are common but I've never had one pop up in my veggie starts before.

MAJOR ANNOUNCE: To prepare for auth.nostr1.com deprication I have launched a brand new relay called nipless.nostr1.com. This is the same functionality as auth, except it requires membership for 1021 sats.
The thing is, providing free services is not good for nostr. If something is FREE, then YOU are the yield. The yield in this case, was TESTING, 2 years of it. This tech is SOLID af now. I can tell that in the year of auth.nostr1.com being free to anyone, it has been capitalized on by almost everyone as one of the only relays in the ecosystem to properly support NIP17. Even as far as amethyst listing it as a "free" relay, well, in order to correct this I will be depricating it in ONE week.
So, give the new relay a try, you can join by going to https://nipless.nostr1.com
I also am attempting to educate you as to how NIP17 with an authenticated relay works, by providing this video explaining best I can. Thank you for all the testing, this thing is battle hardened now and that was thanks to you. I apologize for letting it be free to use for so long and I never intended to hurt the nostr ecosystem by doing so. Free relays should be treated with suspicion at best, especially in the case of DMs.
