I don't understand, dropping Amber is a potentially good new approach? Adding other sign-in methods makes sense but dropping Amber will alienate customers and I don't know for what reason. What's bad about Amber?
The ones around me are deeply suspicious of Bitcoin and think it's terrible for the environment. I've pivoted to other ways of demonstrating utility that they like, the time bank or repair clinics. I'm hoping folks start to trust me and then I can reopen the Bitcoin conversation later. But yeah it's rough out here 😅

There is no guarantee that all bot runners will include a bot tag that they probably don't even know exists. You can advocate for proper tagging and even write specs and standards for it, but that's still just a voluntary discipline people would have to adopt. Relying on that is fragile.
