Seemed like a wild 24 hours. A bit out of character (from my perspective) of you to have gone so deep. I never had beef with fuckstr, (he definitely called out some shady shit and characters before) but telly exposed himself rather quickly to me and I've had a negative opinion about him since. Sidecar doesn’t interact with your local password manager. That’s an intentional decision to keep access to your nsec outside of any cloud-enabled storage where it could be compromised. You can manually add this, but it’s not wired up to do that because it handles key material.

I just ran through the whole flow and as soon as you install the app you are prompted to enter and confirm a passcode. That code is required to update your bio and to unlock the app on a browser restart. There’s also an auto-lock timer in settings. As long as your keys are backed up outside Sidecar, you can just set it up again. At that point you’ll just need to set a new passcode. Unfortunately, the worst bug that I can’t fix is human memory. 😞
