There are weird bands that will challenge your brains musical expectations directly. ClownC0re and Igorrr are personal favorites.
Another dude laughed at me when I mentioned my largest discount applied only to Bitcoin payments. Then he realized I was dead serious and he started asking why I accept it after he admitted he doesn't know anything about it.
I think this guy might actually take my advice and start learning.
The Luddites weren't blanket anti new technology, neither are the Amish for that matter.
Western society holds the standard of always adopting new technology as presented by default. Both those groups flipped that script. They felt that a standard should be set for human wellbeing and technology should only be adopted if it improves the quality of life of humans who use it. In some cases adopt the technology but with rules around its use.
I don't believe in top down assigned rules like the Amish. I don't believe it is for someone else to tell me what standard of human flourishing I use to guide my decisions. I do believe in making deliberate decisions about technology use, even if they are difficult, instead of blindly adopting whatever is new.
You have to agree to age verification, too. That’s fine, it’s their policy as a company. But if I were going to use this for actual work (which it doesn’t seem ready for yet), I’d definitely run my own relay.

Anyway, my preferred growth tactic is to simply build the best possible onboarding tools for Nostr’s social layer that need to exist.
Everyone else seems to be going back there and getting applause for it, but I’m still happy being a contrarian.
