A micro helium reactor might do the trick. And it might be possible to use tiny amounts of graphite encased uranium, just enough to power the plane for a few flights. The reactor could be shielded using specialized plastics, and boron. Then there is never enough nuclear fuel in the plane to cause a major nuclear accident. Just drop a few pellets into the reactor and off you go!

Nuclear would work to power an electric plane if you could build a small enough reactor.
Use the heat from the reactor to drive a high RPM sterling engine that charges a small battery bank that can power the plane for maybe an hour, and just keep topping it up, and bingo hybrid electric plane.
Unfortunately flying nuclear reactors won't likely get FAA clearance anytime soon 😂

The debt backed money system did solve one problem. It provides enough liquidity for a healthy economy and is self correcting before it reaches hyperinflation, because the economy always stalls before that happens.
The problem with a gold backed system is gold always pools into the hands of the rich starving the economy of liquidity leading to an incurable economic depression.

I completely agree, that legislation is designed to force everyone to use commercial operating systems, like Apple or Windows and make Open Source illegal.
And California, as always, just wants to extort the public, they plan of fining parents with "unverified" computers.
And what in the world is stopping kids from using their parents "verified" computers? The parents!

The stats I found online is the U.S. Navy has about 465 ships, including subs. The British Navy has 63 ships, including subs, in active service (more in storage). Not too shabby relative to most nations.

What I tell people I love is TAKE CHARGE OF YOUR HEALTH, they cannot fix an unhealthy lifestyle!
Our medical system is good at only one thing, acute care, broken bones, trauma, stabilizing you if you have a heart attack, etc.
In short start exercising and eating healthy! Don't lean on them!

My observation. Doctors love to run endless and unnecessary tests.
If they suspect you have a condition, they will test for all the less likely conditions first, so they can bill insurance for a bunch of needless tests. Tests are low risk for doctors.
And in the end the chances are VERY LOW they will ever effect a cure for whatever you are suffering from.
End up in the hospital for any chronic condition? Endless tests, and maybe throw some drugs at you.
