Rare occassion where I fully agree with the Europeans. Trump has royally screwed the pooch on this pointless adventure.

The above is a mess, I agree. Not sure how the Boomers get the blame though.
The oldest ones (my dad was born in 1946) weren’t meaningfully ‘running’ anything until the 1990s at the earliest.
The factors that have been ruining our society predate that be at least 30 years.
Now, if you want to fault the Boomers for failing to know how to step back (almost 80 year old father is still at the office, daily), I agree. I suspect their departure from the work place will be closely followed by their young Xer / old Millenial children, as we anticipate longer, healthier lives, and know a career isn’t worth all of them till death.

I went to the all school Mass at my kids’ school. We live two towns over, but I forget how different it is. Honestly still better than 95% of places when I travel, but a reminder how spoiled I am where I live.

That entire chart tells me at least 1/3 of graduates - not even including those who dropped out along the way - should have taken a different path than college.
My 17 year old (wants to be a lawyer, so no avoiding it) is graduating in a class of 26, at the same school, where I graduated 28 years ago. 90% of my class went to college. Bet it is closer to 65% for his.
Combine the demographic collapse just reaching graduation age, and getting worse for the foreseeable future, with fewer going to college, and a lot of schools face a reckoning.
