Good for you! I like the way Cal Newport talks about managing kids and technology - right in line with what you are doing. Keeping it in the kitchen is a great move.
I'm hoping that the cultural expectations around phones and tech will have improved a little by the time I have to figure that out with my kids!

How do you all find cool blogs, video, and people to follow on the small web? That feels like the main selling point of big platforms like youtube and substack, there's a lot of stuff in one place. And search engines barely seem to index small blogs. I'd love to know about more small web alternatives.

I miss the original Mozilla browser that came with email and an HTML editor and dinosaur logo. I spent hours fiddling with themes for those things to customize it with the best icons. That was pretty cool.
Am I showing my age? I guess that was almost 20 years ago. :)

Question for #fountainpens and #planner peoples:
What are your favorite fountain pen friendly papers, lined, dotted, or grid, that fit Filofax planners of all sizes? I never quite find refills that I'm happy with.

Mostly just based on logistics. I carry my Muji fountain pen in the pen loop of my planner because it's slim and sturdy. Two Lamy Safaris live in the pen loops of Filofaxes for carry in my bag too. Chunky Twsbi Ecos stay in my pen pouch for journaling, as does my Sailor Procolour, because it's my most expensive pen and I'd be sad if I lost it around town.
