Not really sure why so many bitcoiners are theorizing and and price pumping that Trump is going to announce a "strategic bitcoin reserve" at the conference.
To me it doesn't make sense for a ruler to even think about showing this card if they truly intended to play it.
Maybe the Bitcoin affect is so great that it gets to rulers at an inopportune time, clouding their logical judgement.
I find it unlikely.

I used to have a political systems professor that made us all write a paper on what influenced our "political ideologies"
The assignment was three pages and entailed an explanation of how your environment shaped the way you think about the different issues in politics. (divisive issues ofc)
I had a hard time putting my name on something that implied I am not the decision maker between what I learn to be factual and unfactual
In response, I wrote a 7 page paper on how the authors I've read were my "political socializing agents" because they taught me a lot of facts. Mainly having to do with the praxeological framework that humans respond to personal incentives.
I got a B on a paper that I actually put time and thought into, while my peers who glazed the professors perspective of "ideologies" got A- averaged.

Its more a matter of bankers finally realizing that bitcoin can't be killed, only fought.
They are now trying to accumulate this shit and join the network rather than be left behind. Which is especially important for them in an era where mandated sovereign debt requirements are going to become an increasingly bad deal when measured in real rates.
We are turning the page in the fight for legitimization.
Now we are going to need to ward off the opposing fight against self sovereignty.
They may be realizing that they will have to give up their tools of secret taxation, but im hard pressed to find a situation where they accept a bitcoin circular economy without there being more of a ... Serious conflict.
Who knows though, maybe the bankers are so drunk on power that they aren't even making these calculations, rather just thinking about fiat number go up.

I tried to shake up an econ department for 4 months. Was going for free so I thought it'd be smart. Was working full time throughout. After 3 meetings with the head of the econ department questioning why nothing besides Keynes/Krugman is taught, they made no effort to accommodate me. I told them I was going to leave if they didn't offer a diverse curriculum. They said "I'm sorry to hear that." I left and became a plumber. One of the best decisions I've made. Its not about education. Its about creating debt slaves and a misinformed set of "educated" people.
