For context, we live in the south of the USA where segregation is still happening especially in the justice system.

Absolutely, all of the nutrients that you have ingested and that are digested by your body can simply go back to the soil.
This is why this product if it is treated correctly is a very beneficial amendment for the soil and for the compost pile.
But if you over use it and if it is not properly balanced then it will create a lot of problems.

Trench composting is a very old method for doing compost if you have a garden but you do not want to install a compost heap.
The native Americans used to do this so it is not new. But be aware of 2 things:
- it will attract rodents and unwanted visitors to your garden.
- if you let seeds they will sprout everywhere.
Also, compost by definition should be aerobic so I liked this video a lot because the compost is not being buried.

Ever since I used a tarp for the compost pile, I noticed the quality of the compost improved in a significant way.
Lately, I have removed the tarp on the main pile and noticed that the pile dried up so fast that most of the life in the pile went out of it.
At first, the only purpose of the tarp was to avoid intruders like squirrels... But now I am not going back.

It depends on the volume that you put into it.
If you put those peels here and there it is really not going to affect anything and they will decompose like the other organic matter.
It is one of the composting myths that need to be debunked.

If we talk so much about shredding the organic matter in the compost pile, it is because know from experience that not doing this makes the decomposition process a lot slower.
We have noticed that every time we shred our green and brown material it takes no time for this organic matter to be turned into compost.
We also have no smells when we sort what we put into the compost pile.

We lost our Python snake yesterday because of a cancer.
She was a white python that was incredibly sweet and that used to love rats.

If you are looking to improve your composting station, have you considered having a separate pile of dried brown material available at any time?
Those materials can be paper, cardboard, dried leaves, wood chips, dried plants...
Every time you have to add green materials, you can feed the same volume of browns and keep your pile under balance.
This is how we manage to have a compost that never smells bad.

I've seen a few videos of Americans going to live in Germany that were very impressed by the way the waste was sorted.
Then when they moved back to America they were shocked by the void and lack of discipline of the Americans when it comes to dealing with waste.
Some of them decided to create companies to try to look less dumb.

The system we use here for our main compost pile is called a wedge system.
We use composting worms to process all the waste we can feed them.
The goal is to create a feeding zone to feed the worms and move them around to a harvest zone where you can just pick up the compost when it is done.

After pondering for a day about taking a social media retreat, I have decided to continue to publish on this account.
Composting is a working solution that allows us to fix our landfills and to do our part if we want to help balance the #ClimateChange.
In a web that is spammed be negative content all day long, it is not an easy thing to be a positive voice. And even on a subject like composting you can't avoid conflicts and the negativity.

Someone from the community asked me lately about our composting routine.
It is a lot of preparation as I spend time collecting brown material and shredding them for the carbon pile. Collecting leaves or wood chips is as well part of this routine.
As soon as I have enough green material available, I sort then to avoid labels and then I shred them. The goal is to have a compost ready a lot faster.
Then I go to the pile with one volume of greens and one volume of browns. I always burry the compostables in the pile to not attract unwanted visitors.
I check the moisture level, I check the compaction by turning the piles and I check how are the composting worms.
This is done if not daily at least every other day depending on the volumes of greens available.

It takes a long time to write a book, to publish it, and to promote it.
There are plenty of books that I strongly dislike especially those religious books. I have even seen books anti-LGBTQ.
We sometimes have people drop those books at our LFL. we just go drop them somewhere else.

Have you considered doing aerated static compost piles if you are not doing this already?
The point of this method is to use pipes to insert air into the piles. What is great about this is that you don't have to turn it on and you can also control the heat because with the air you put into the piles, you can heat the temperatures. The only thing you have to do here is control the moisture.

Searching for a manual paper shredder to process the paper we have for our worms and make them bedding faster.
Every time you feed the worms all you have to do is give them the same volume of shredded paper. So for me, it is a valuable and necessary tool.

The crops that started to germinate in our compost piles like potatoes, tomatoes, or green onions are the crops that have been the most prolific this year.
None of this was planned and it is a shame that I do not master more how to start seedlings from a compost pile.

We can give the extra plants that love to volunteer in the #gardens and exchange a few #herbs, #trees, plants, or garden tools that people want to share.

Starting a service around those people means that you will have to explain to them that you are not the landfill, you are just trying to make our local area better than when I found it.
So no when you are #lgbtq in the USA it is not easy to live in harmony with the people who are supposed to love thy neighbor.
This is why we preferred to start an online account to inspire people to do this.

We will celebrate this event all month. We want the #lgbtqia people to feel included here.
I have several letters of the umbrella and I will never apologize to anyone for this. I am a #trans person but I am also #asexual. So I am sorry to disappoint the haters but being trans is not about sexuality.
Being #transgerder means that your body does not match your gender and who you are.
I am a woman born into the body of a man, it took me more than 30 years to process all of that. It means that every day I have to wake up in a body that does not match my gender.
I did not choose any of this and I wish that things were as simple as blue for boys and pink for girls.

When you have a rooster who wants to attack you every night because every spring his hormones make him nuts:
- fear is to know he is going to do that
- courage is to go every night and deal with it
- intelligence is to know he is just a dummy and you can find a way to deal.
- wisdom is to realize he can't help it and that it allows you to be the alpha.
He is not aware I can also compost a rooster. But that is what makes me civilized and not a savage.

The state I live in (South of the US) is pushing a law to ban the mask in public for "health reasons".
This spring I have been so miserable because of the allergies that by necessity I decided to wear a #mask outside again despite taking strong medicine that won't allow me to be safe outside.
There is also a deadly pandemic going on but who cares I guess.
If I wear a mask that is to protect my health and also others.
I have no name to describe how messed up this is.

This little video from the channel Primitive Technology, one of my favorites, is an amazing reminder of why we should not use too much ash on clay-dominant soil.
Clay plus ahs is the recipe for cement. It will compact your soil if you put too much of it.
