The problem is much broader than that. I've been trying to explain Bitcoin to adults and children for some years already, and I've noticed that for people to understand Bitcoin, they must first have to understand the problems Bitcoin solves.
Because of the indoctrination people have been subjected for all their lives, undestanding that somebody taking 60%+ of what you earn is a bad thing may sound like a "right wing", but it's not. Your government taking 60%+ of what you earn is plain slavery, and you have to understand that prior to understanding Bitcoin, or you'll get the usual "yeah, but with Bitcoin you can avoid paying taxes, and that's wrong".
So yeah, it's very difficult to explain or understand.

Remember that now in @nprofile…0unn you can Zap the verifiers of your favourite Bitcoin wallet.
For example, let's say you use @nprofile…zjpe wallet. So you see in X or Nostr that v0.11.4 has been released. You ideally do this:
1- Go to WalletScrutiny.com
2- Search for Zeus. Then choose Android (because you shouldn't be using iOS...)
3- You see that v0.11.4 has been verified to be reproducible from sources by @nprofile…ntz9 , so you click the verification for that version
4- You check if the verification has the quality you would expect
5- You Zap Danny some sats to thank him for the time spent verifying
6- Optionally you can follow his steps to reproduce the wallet yourself and create a new verification.
If you find that your preferred wallet doesn't have a verification yet, you can push the maintainers to do the verification, or do it yourself if you have the skills. Maybe you can earn some sats when other users Zap your verifications!

We needed Freedom Money, and there are just a few small use-cases that can give you a little bit of freedom. For the most part, what we have is at most an inflation hedge, and the saddest part is that people seem happy about it.
People moved to ETFs, MSTR, or to develop chat apps in all ways and forms.
So what's left for us freedom lovers? ecash which is like 100 steps backwards from Bitcoin?

Yeah, I guess we could use part of the NIP. Probably not the full one, as I don't see us requesting attestations to other users. Maybe I'm wrong. Also, is this mechanism meant to be implemented by general purpose clients? Telling people to install a new app, that's a chat app, where people only chat about nostr and cashu ("what's cashu? Is it Bitcoin?") to tell them that they can send and receive money pressing icons, where the people that you want to send the money to need to also need to install a chat app and "create an identity" -vs- "Just install Phoenix/Zeus and use the Send/Receive buttons".

Totally agree.
From time to time, I tell that I overpass red traffic lights, and that I do that mostly when I travel with my childs in the car, just to make a point. Of course I only do that when it's safe: I don't want to put them in danger.
But people tell me that it's not good advice for the children. They should know and obey the rules. Like waiting on a red light when nobody is comming in the other direction... just for the sake of waiting, because there is a light that says so.

When Whatsapp was costing $0.89 a year, some years ago, I saw people pirating it by downloading an .apk from forums. So, is people going to pay to download a jpeg?
