This requirement is not new and was already there before, because no FSF/OSI allowed license disallows commercial usage of content.
What did change is that the following kinds of work can be licensed to disallow commercial use:
> As an exception to this requirement, works which primarily describe the personal opinions or experiences of the author, or which embody the unique personal creative spirit of the author, may be included in public repositories under a copyright licence which does not allow modification and/or commercial use, such as a Creative Commons licence with NC or ND restrictions

The frontend removed all commits that were made before `Sun Sep 9 03:46:40 AM CEST 2001`, it's fixed in https://codeberg.org/forgejo/forgejo/pulls/8882
The backend did count correctly to 19369, so Forgejo does better a better job than GitHub in that aspect :P

official response would be "go look at https://pad.gusted.xyz/s/o7-rsu8Z1 and https://pad.gusted.xyz/s/BatxQqSKI". Unofficial response, we didn't wanted a name that was dependent on Free, Git or the language being used, usage of forge was fine. The runner up was "Smithy" which was way easier to pronounce anyway.
