Yes. I wouldn’t need the insurance if I could trust that the BTC would be there in the future for me to spend. The blockchain creates that trust.
The extension of that trust is human. I need to back up my pneumonic, store it somewhere reliable, know how to restore, etc.
I trust myself with the depth of those requirements. I would pay for the Anchorwatch custody product as an alternative to Casa: because of your miniscript solution and my trust in the blockchain.
I’m trying to describe why I also want the Anchorwatch Custody solution. I view it as a vault I can set a timer and walk away without worry similar to Casa. I believe the industry needs this alternative

Off the top of my head I can think of 5 companies launched in 2025 with good products for lending or treasury custody; personal or business; single or multisig. I can’t trust any because they have no history of success and the legal is too much to understand. Outsourcing my trust to the blockchain would be a step improvement beyond even well respected company products from Casa and Unchained

Everyone is looking for a set it and forget it solution. Relying on a crypto company, a tradfi bank, or yourself is a lot of maintenance and trust. Letting the blockchain do the work without that overhead is quite valuable

Yes but it is far from popular. EVM chains don’t have native multisig capabilities. Shamir’s methodology can provide this capability and is effective for true offline (cold) signing between several key shares. Distribution of key shares then becomes the challenge, but it can be more secure than smart contracts if handled correctly

And the US turbocharged the advantage by providing a fantastic business environment. I can start a business here with 1 online form and $0 down. Contrast that to Magatte Wade in Senegal. The US has no barrier to entry when starting a business (except for crypto businesses 👎)

I had been searching for an answer for years and Magatte Wade is the first person to help me understand.
It’s deeper and more entrenched and more nuanced than just price controls. The Scandinavian countries are a great example of why taxes, or price controls, aren’t the root issue.
Without a “good business environment”, this very first ingredient, the entire enterprise ecosystem is broken.

I’m old. I need ongoing education so I turn to podcasts and newsletters. I paid for quite a few until 2022 when I was pretty rekt.
I don’t know them personally, but Andreas and Demetri offered their service for free this year. That was huge.

I’m having luck in 2023.

If I short, I might be signaling where I’d be willing to buy - I purchase a short option at $25k
Or - I sell a short option at $25k because I actually want someone to by my BTC at that price so I don’t loose too much if I bought at 30

Friends love Prius and Camry seemed like second fiddle relative to mileage on Prius. ID.4 now and never get petrol even on 3.5 hour drives, snow tires make it outstanding in winter, and traffic is fantastic not polluting or spending $$ in the EV. never buying a gas car again. Fixing old Jeep for off-road and long trips forever. Otherwise EV has changed me
