Where did the US get 19 megatons of plutonium? Since that's considerably more than the amount of plutonium currently on Earth.
This article says "19.7 metric tons," but even that seems like a lot, and I wonder if isn't just Pu-heavy breeder reactor waste or actual bomb-ready Pu.
