A local family farm I was getting my beef from the past 2 years is struggling right now because the slaughter house they used was sold and the govmt and part of the region bought it back but it won’t be open and operating until 2026. So many other local farms have had to shut down completely. Unless we take the processing back, the state still “owns” farmers in so many ways. Probably easier to kill your own ducks than cows.

It is an affliction, an addiction
my solace and my gift.
A love affair with detail
A time traveller adrift.
A sentimental sorrow for the temporal and the fleeting.

My curiosity is what brought you to ask this question. Why isn’t a vague concept of God not enough? I don’t have a relationship with Jesus and never needed one because I have trust in cosmic laws. What came before Jesus and religion? That’s where I tend to gravitate. The Kybalion is an interesting book to start with. Something created this universe we are living in, I think the concept of this is meant to be vague but your connection to source/God is alive within you and all around you. Observing and being in nature, in silence illuminates that connection.

I sold my house for bitcoin a few years ago. I don’t regret my choice but I miss that house. I had a beautiful garden and lots of flowers. I planted dahlias that year. My favourite flower. It’s perfection. I long for dahlia gardens again someday.
