In 2022, my partner and I had this wild idea: What if we could educate the Indonesian government about Bitcoin?

I was super sceptical at first, but @npub17cy…4ml3 has blown me away! 😍 Our students have learned so much the last weeks, and their curiosity is unbelievable - asking us to do #P2P transactions, about swaps, for #privacy tips, and how they can get involved in #Bitcoin now.

Yes, in #Indonesia you often get random things as change… sausages, candy—or nothing at all!!! Why is that? Because the weak value of the currency makes small amounts like 500 and 1000 #Rupiah often neglected. Plus, banks don’t circulate enough change, so stores rarely have it on hand.
In addition to the impact of #inflation, people are repeatedly losing small amounts of money which over time adds up and disproportionately affects those with lower incomes, undermining fairness and trust in everyday transactions.
Today, I was lucky and got some vitamins at the pharmacy. 🙃
