Ultimately, we aren’t going to find common ground on this. As for the life expectancy increase in communist China, it was merely due to the modernisation of the country and taking it from being a place that had been locked in civil war and external war for decades. Such changes have been seen elsewhere as well and it wasn’t communism that achieved it, merely an end to the wars and modernisation in general. Much like Paul Kagame greatly increased life expectancy in Rwanda.

I am not a leftist, Mao caused a huge amount of suffering to many people. His revolution was not “necessary” at all and he was merely another vicious warlord exploiting and harming the Chinese people in a time of strife and war.
His successors ended up doing much better as they meaningfully moved away from a lot of his most egregious traits and policies
