I believe that Ayn Rand unfortunately had too much of a jewish understanding of religion (based on hundreds of rules and laws) and didn’t publicly acknowledge the freedom and absolute Reason of Jesus Christ.
All of her philosophy still works in practice under gospel teaching- because the best way to serve yourself is to live for God and accept his forgiveness and Christ’s gift of redemption for your eternal soul.

I say there is enough consensus because more nodes are running the bip-110 soft fork than during segwit.
The game theory is already in motion.
Miners will obey the tighter rules or they will risk their entire business over 0.1% fee revenue from spam.
You- as a node runner unwilling to upgrade- can sit this one out 👍

Well this is a soft fork like segwit so you don’t have to update your node.
It will continue to work fine with the new consensus.
And even if the “restriction on taproot” is somehow bad- the rules will revert in 1 year.
The only risk here is that VC wall st suits scare enough people into doing a URSF and splitting the chain. Don’t be that guy.
If you are so concerned about miners then you should be shilling ocean 24/7
Anyway, there is already enough consensus already and the miner incentive is to activate smoothly mid august.

To me the important thing is the demonstration that Bitcoin remains a monetary network.
There will always be “spam”
The key problem with core v30 was it redefined Bitcoin into a data storage network with accepted and approved use case for sharing large files P2P.
IMO, bip-110 reverses that definition and again asserts that Bitcoin is intended to be used as money.

Was it “dangerous” to define and limit spam with filter policy before this change in v30?
What benefit to the network has the v30 created? No benefit, but it accepted data spam as legitimate use of Bitcoin as a data storage network.
I support and fight for Bitcoin as money.
Spam will perhaps persist as you say, but data storage will not be an accepted use case of the Bitcoin network.
Bip-110 will be implemented.

What you don’t understand is that the “spam” on the network isn’t defined as spam after core v30.
The unilateral bcore change to mempool policy, as well as the earlier change in documentation after the inscriptions hack, SPECIFICALLY adopt and accept data-storage as an accepted and standard use-case for Bitcoin.
Bip-110 primarily redefines data-storage as “discouraged” and “non-standard” and reimplements the understanding that junk data stored on chain is unintentional and not approved by the node runners.
V30 = spam is not spam
B110 = spam is spam
The existence of “spam” is not the problem, the problem is the definition of the standard and accepted use case of Bitcoin.
