I never root for a bear market and believe that it’s about time we do some winning. We’ve had to lock in hard the past few months and it was a difficult H2 of 2025.
We aren’t completely out of the woods but I’m shifting my attitude towards a bullish stance after having been disillusioned/bearish the past half year. I don’t trade much but I made enough money last cycle that I took my first trade and hedged the downside a bit.
If I had more money or less money I wouldn’t have done it. Just a psychological thing and I never recommend trading and took a very small hedge position (less than 5%).

I’ve reached acceptance where I try to be outcome independent but my base case is no longer that we will reach significantly lower prices in Q3 or Q4. Doesn’t fit in this environment anymore and I think the cycle is finally breaking down. Still very early.

I know this is whack ass math but let’s be real 109k and 74k in April 2024 were more traditional tops, 60k in 2026 is pretty damn low, and we were literally down on the 5 year a few weeks ago.

It’s still the responsibility of the president to deploy troops in a manner which is in line with the interests of our country. Even though the military has been so abused, most volunteers believe they are going to support America.

For apple shareholders it was massively positive sum. Imagine if you could run MacOS or iOS on off-brand devices and integrate with the ecosystem. Their business model would be cooked.
For the world, maybe Linux has been more positive, but even that is subjective. Apple and their design and their cultural impact were a huge part of the past three decades.

There are lots of examples of closed source, proprietary software which has been massively successful. Apple’s whole ecosystem is a good example of this.
I get if you personally want everything to be open-sourced, but to say that is the solution for a business, and to then conflate open-source with “decentralized” seems like straying away from the core issue.

Compatibility and there are a few known bugs which will require a fork in the future, if I remember correctly one big one related to time-stamping.
In addition, I would consider the inscriptions and ordinals to be a vulnerability and an improper use of network resources, and just like any open source project, you want it to be addressed.
I understand others share different perspectives but almost everyone knows we cannot just lock in on Core 29 forever and leave it at that. Bitcoin is a project which requires vigilance and maintenance.

You’re missing my point. I hope you don’t interpret this as hate, I’m trying to be constructive.
We are at a much different stage than we were in 2013, and while I don’t have all the answers, I can recognize that the period from 2021-2026 has been a comparative failure. We have lost a lot of momentum and we are struggling to reach a higher density of adoption.
In 2021, Bitcoin dropped from 64,000 to 29,000 during the summer. You were around for that. -50%, just like the hodling post. And now today, 5 years later, we are ~110% above that.
And that’s still good returns for someone who bought at 29k, but that’s much more of how the market has been so far this decade. Basing your predictions on 2013 returns from when the market cap was in the 10s of billions has not panned out.
You’re essentially an influencer, all I’m trying to say is that we need to have new, original approaches in order to influence the broader world into supporting the idea of Bitcoin. Trying to relive the past will not lead to our success.
