i'm against q1 because of the way they execute it, it's a voucher system for families to pay for private childcare rather than increasing the capacity of free programs run by the parks dept and public schools. the amount of money isn't even enough to provide all impoverished people with a voucher
the teachers union, mayor, and half of the city council have come out against it as well

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're refering to as GNU/Linux, is in fact, systemd/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, systemd+Linux. GNU/Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning systemd OS made useful by the systemd init system, utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS.
Many computer users run a modified version of the systemd OS every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of systemd which is widely used today is often called GNU/Linux, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the systemd OS, developed by [@pid_eins](https://mastodon.social/@pid_eins )
There really is a GNU/Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. GNU/Linux is the kernel and some shell utilities: the program in the system that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you run and tools to perform basic functions. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. GNU/Linux is normally used in combination with the systemd operating system: the whole system is basically systemd with GNU and Linux added, or systemd/Linux. All the so-called GNU/Linux distributions are really distributions of systemd/Linux!
