It's becoming clear that Israel's 12 day war against Iran didn't "weaken Iran", it sent a clear message to Iran and their partners in the region (Hezbollah and the Houthis, mainly).
That message was loud and clear: upgrade, arm up, be ready for round 2.
Israel, being the dumbest Nazis alive, thought they could just take out the Ayatollah and that'd be that.
A month in, and Israel are near breaking point while Iranians are on the street cheering on US jets being shot down; not only that, Iran aren't targeting civilians like the US and Israel are.
Iran isn't some paradise of progressiveness, but they have a right to self-determination, something Israel and the US fail to understand

Well, that's sobering.
The amount of barrels of oil, the amount of gigajoules of gas, lost to this war is insane. It makes Ukraine look like a hiccup.
Albo is still focused on the fossil fuels, not the effect on us poor people. So middle-class welfare it is.
It's insane that Scott Morrison is being proven to be a smarter PM than Albo. He headed off the impacts and softened the blow for everyone. Anthony "I grew up in public housing" Albanese has just shoveled money at companies, and ransacked taxes.
Neoliberal stupidity at its worst, but that's the Australian Labor Party way; it's also why I feel like cockpunching people who call Labor "centre-left". They're more right wing than the Liberal Party these days

It's kind of funny, western journalists are going on about how "The US are now using B-52's" in Iran.
Oh, honey, they've been doing that since day 1. I've been watching them fly out of North Dakota and Louisiana on FlightRadar24 for a month.
What's happening is they're having to rely on B-52's (and B-1's and B-2's) more and more as they lose refuelling aircraft. Not sure of the totals, but I know of at least 10, confirmed, KC-135 kills, and there's a suggestion it's much higher from leaks and Iranian commentary.
Without refuellers, strike aircraft, especially F-35's in a strike configuration, would never reach Tehran and return. So the US has had to fall back on strategic bombers

The death toll has risen again, right now it's around 50, but the suggestion is that many of the 170 students are dead.
The girls' school is in Minab, not Tehran, though. The Tehran school has few details yet other than 2 killed.

People who constantly CW their posts are like arseholes who come up and push someone's wheelchair without being asked.
You've been told to do it by other arseholes, and haven't spent a moment talking to people with actual trauma.
"Content warnings" (it's actually a content wrapper, but that's another story) do not reduce anxiety, they do not "protect" anyone. You just look like a massive dickhead, and cause anxiety in those of us who do suffer from PTSD and the like
