Consistency + small but continuous improvement is the trick both together are difficult to do.
8 years ago I had a net worth of 5k and a salary of 52k now I have a million net worth and a 250k salary.
Consistency helped but if it was not for research, investments, and constant improvement I would still be nowhere.

I think things have always been like this the only difference is that now it's more in the open.
Previously before the internet and things like nostr the government needed to control only mainstream media which was easy now with independent content creators this is a lot more difficult to do.
So the more freedom of information and freedom of speech there is more and more totalitarian measures are needed by the governments to maintain control of the narrative.

while i really love nostr and how it works the issue its monetization .
While sats are great its not enough of an insentive popular accounts with 1M + followers make like 15k a month on X.
While many people care about freedom and freedom of speech they can't live on freedom.
This are just the realites of the world.
Money makes the world go around.
Now if there was any way to have adds linked to your key or whatever way it can be done nostr would skyrocket.
Here is me hoping this happens as i want nothing more for nostr to be a huge success :)

But in my mind being single is better than a bad relationship.

I agree but there is one more missing which is crazy important
When you realize the most important thing money can buy is freedom, not stuff.
No one on their dead bed wishes they worked more or made more money they all regret not spending time with family or hobbies etc...

The issue is you can't have immigration and a welfare state its one or the other.
Look at UAE and Dubai you want to immigrate you register a company for 2k and you get your visa in 3-5 days but if you go there you have to have a job or make money if you don't there is not help from the state and if you do any sort of crime you get deported.
If you are a UEA citizen and you steal you lose the hand you stole with.
this is why based on stats crime wise Dubai and the UAE is one of the safest countries in the world.

No big deal I was just trying to be helpful as I have seen to many people instead of maximizing their time they go let me get a part time job that pays minimal wage.
And nothing wrong with that but its not optimal and difficult to get ahead in life with a strategy like that.
For me personally I have a general idea not a detailed plan where I want to be in 10 years if not sooner from now and I can tell if do X I will not be there in 10 years so I need to do Y.
How many people think 5-10 years ahead etc...
Its not easy to do but its well worth it.

Work smart and hard with smart being the most important part of life to make money by using your skills and making more with the time you have.
you should try to work for 6 hours for 200 an hour instead of 12 hours for 100 an hour.

This is an oversimplification but the point stands improve your skills and work smart before you work hard.

The issue is there are no consequences for the elites If you create a crisis like 2008 who cares the taxpayer will bail us out.
And this time is going to be worse as the us dollar is closer and closer to losing its status as a world reserve currency.
For this, there are many reasons such as weaponizing the dollar and swift, etc...
180+ countries want to join the new BRICS payment system what happens to the dollar then and a debt-based economy?
It will be hyperinflation as you can't just keep printing money that's paper that 180+ countries don't want.
Don't get me wrong there are solutions to this such as crypto where you can't print as much as you want but things will get a lot worse before they get any better.

For example, any information on COVID that did not agree with the mainstream narrative even from the founder of the mRNA vaccines was banned on YouTube.
When I suggested Why don't you use an alternative video platform such as Rumble the answer I got was a lot of excuses and it came down to well idk I'm used to YouTube.
Now the question is while Nostr has great potential how do we get more prominent people to use it.
The reason I say this is when I showed and explained Nostr to friends etc... what I got was well so and so person is not here it's on X etc... and then they just stop using it.

So, I have been learning more about NOSTR, and I must say the idea is excellent. However, considering the world we live in and governments becoming more tyrannical worldwide, even the so-called "democratic" Western governments.
I work in cyber security and to play devis advocate over here and would like to ask @npub1sg6…f63m and @npub1xts…kk5s what is to stop governments from blocking the NOSTR protocol on the ISP level?
I know it is encrypted and uses port 443 but can the traffic be identified and blocked?
In my opinion, governments don't like free speech where they can't control the narrative and I'm 100% sure that if NOSTR becomes the primary social media platform + any other use cases governments will try to shut It down.
Thoughts?
