People still don't get it immigrants even illegal immigrants are not the problem the goverment is.
The issue is you can't have immigration and a welfare state its one or the other.
Look at UAE and Dubai you want to immigrate you register a company for 2k and you get your visa in 3-5 days but if you go there you have to have a job or make money if you don't there is not help from the state and if you do any sort of crime you get deported.
If you are a UEA citizen and you steal you lose the hand you stole with.
this is why based on stats crime wise Dubai and the UAE is one of the safest countries in the world.
