The "AI: Good or Bad?" argument is itself a diversion. Scientists have been using AI for YEARS without qualms, because they weren't engaging it in politics or social media.
Like the internet itself, AI only became a threat when it was commercialized.
And commercial AI is a self-standing Ponzi scheme.
ALL fraud schemes are inherently immoral. This one has nothing exceptional about it.

I got an email from the "Social Security Administration" which said this:

Now, the back-to-work bosses are using cyber-surveillance to reimagine the same system, accommodating it to digital work methods.
EXCEPT—they can't do it unless you are actually, physically present at their zones of owned real estate.
You will NOT be reimbursed for the cost of commuting. But you WILL be fired for the results of showing up.
A united work force can affect this. Thousands of alienated, isolated individual workers cannot.

You create a problem that doesn't really exist, using a rigid ideology (kind of a "No True Scotsman" fallacy), then create a solution that
depends on 'enforcement'—which depends on a vague definition of 'volunteers'.

There are passionate people who do these jobs, because the rest are primarily passionate about the varied interests in their lives; for them the fediverse is merely a means of communication and sharing, not a cause.
The people who are admins and moderators do it because they like it, and remain in 'power' because the majority approve, and do not go elsewhere.
THIS is an 'anarchist way' that functions in the real world, not as a demonstration of ideology.
Ultimately, if you feel your ideas are so superior, you are free to create your own space, and run it as you please.
No one stands in your way, but if no one uses it, the fault is your own, not the people who refuse to join it.

I found it satisfyingly funny that the News feed had an article about the BCBS reversal on "time's up!" anesthetic coverage refusal right after the article on the UnitedHealthcare hitman.
Even better, watching youtube 'experts' explaining why he had to be an amateur.
When it comes to resisting fascists, we are all amateurs (which answers the "but it's not my thing" excuse . . .)

I also bookmarked this for future reference.
One thing stands out to me. I think it's time to retire the faulty truism "The enemy of my enemy is my friend."
It sounds cool until you realize that 1) it's an amoral transactional tactic, not a strategy, and 2) if they weren't friends before, they are unlikely to remain so, once the 'common enemy' has been defeated. Cuz now, the weakest 'friend' stands alone—at the mercy of the strongest "new best friend".

After Harris went on FOX today and totally turned all their gotcha questions against them, I thought of the quote by Alexander the Great—
"He cried because there were no more worlds to conquer."
Because there are really no media left that are worth taking on. FOX was the most hostile media against her, and she 'drank their milkshake'.
