It's been about a year and a half now that I've been on #nostr. Since then I stopped using Mastodon and Bluesky. I do miss seeing posts from friends in the industry I work in, but I'm not overloaded with crap posts and anger. Genuine conversations happen here and Im never in a bad mood after scrolling through Nostr. Thank you to everyone building and supporting Nostr. You all are amazing.

It's sad to see any company shut down. Especially when you have a large amount of friends working there. But ultimately, my thoughts here, Sony purchased Pixomondo for its Virtual Production technology. Now that the company is absorbed, they decided to take the technology and shutter the competition in the industry. The result, hundreds of very talented artists have lost their jobs. Hopefully everyone can find work, but this behaviour happens in every corporate sector.
Let's see if Sony keeps all the Virtual Production stages that Pixo has setup, or whether they shutter them.

Works good on a Pixel 10 Pro Fold running GrapheneOS. But thread response count displays 0 unless you dive into the message. And even then the count is off.

Not clear. But seems he changed his tune after the price started going down. Focusing on affordability in the city. One of the motions was to remove the Bitcoin friendly city project and Sim didn’t oppose it. And didn’t give reasons either. It’s curious.

Speaking with my friend last night. It still boggles my mind how insane the banking system is getting. The fact that the bank in the EU can deny your request for €1500 cash for rent, and hound you on why you need the cash in the first place is crazy. I know it's happening everywhere, but their limit of €500 / day is crazy. They push you to send money electronically without limit, but cash. Forget about it. Let's make you feel like a criminal for wanting your own money. Let's prevent people from holding any form of cash. All because they want people to forget about the paper currency and move towards #CBDC.
But I think it's starting to slowly have the opposite effect. People are getting mad and looking at how they can spend their money differently. Something not controlled by the bankers and government. I'm hoping it sticks. And I'm hoping that more people start making a circular economy with #Bitcoin.

Well. Just finished an Amatsu Therapy session and I think I managed to convert her to #Bitcoin. Not only did I get my back fixed, but got her setup with @npub18ul…dcl9 Wallet and sent her a $50 tip to get her started. It all began from our conversation about EU CBDC's and how messed the banking system is in Europe.
Hopefully it sticks and she embraces it. One more person / business that might start accepting bitcoin.

The debanking stories are increasing by the day. Just yesterday CTV did a news segment on it. Just loosing trust in the system more and more. Even RRSPs are yielding very low interest, and you need to reallocate into GICs just to get to 3% interest.

Been running it for years. But recommend, if you’re starting from scratch, to not use vendor specific smart devices. Example TP-Link, or Google Nest, etc.
Zigbee, Zwave and matter devices are the way to go. Connects directly with a USB radio and integrates with Home Assistant. Then enjoy going down the rabbit hole.

It’ll be interesting to see how Hollywood reacts to all of this. From what I’m hearing it’s nothing they’ve asked for. It’s an uninformed idiot trying to ruffle feathers. If he really wanted to bring filming back to America he would provide federal tax subsidies. Make people want to film there. Most American productions don’t even film in Hollywood. They go to Atlanta, New York, etc. too expensive in LA.
