*Maybe. I run Win 11 on it purely because I use Linux everywhere else and was afraid I was getting out of touch. Win 11 is so painful to use because of all the things Tiny 11 would probably take out, but if I do that, I am negating the entire reason for using Windows in the first place.

I have stacks of old hardware. I had two people discuss insanely old computers, and wanted something newer. In the spirit of recycling, I am preparing those.
I also was going to make an extra Linux system for one of the intermediaries to prove how easy Linux was.
I have three systems, the person I don't know at all needed Win 11 for work. The person I care most about was getting Linux. The person in the middle 'probably can work with' Linux, but would really prefer Windows because they're a normie and has never even seen the alternatives.
One system is a six year old system. That will run Windows 11.
One is something else, but the processor might not support Windows 11.
The third is an older system, the processor is just outside of the Win 11 range, but the system is decent. That's clearly going to be a Linux system.
[The Point]
The person I like best would be getting the worst hardware. The person I never met ends up getting the best.
It feels like I am doing this wrong.

There's two ports on this motherboard, both are using the r8169 driver, and also the 8125 or 8126 respectively. The r8169 has loaded and works, it it wouldn't be connected now.
How do I tell it to keep doing what it is doing, but not try to use r8169 for only the r8126 port?

I have a new motherboard, which has two ethernet ports, one is the Realtek 8126 port, which is 5G, and the other is Realtek 8125 port, which is 2.5G.
The eth0 seems to be the 5G port, and eth1 is the 2.5G.
eth0 does not connect.

Wait...
If I go to QuarteredCircle.net from outside (where it works fine) the local router forwards the request to NPM. NPM then pushes it on to Chance's internal network.
If I am inside, it gets Chance's IP. I would need to point QuarteredCircle.net's internal DNS entry to NPN, not Chance, wouldn't I?

I was inclined to start by blaming DNS, but my laptop and phone are also on the local network, getting the same DNS server (which is also @npub1ndp…uz86) and there's no issues from that direction. It's just on @npub1ndp…uz86 herself.

I don't think I followed those details. (That's a me problem, not you.)
Checking with a verbose curl gives me a resolution (also from Chance, which resolves to her internal IP,) and then gets an expired certificate. I am sure is the one from before I switched to Nginx Proxy Manager, because it was working fine until a few days ago when that old certificate expired.

I hate how shrinkflation means adding more packaging inside the packaging to hit the fact that you have less. My wife just opened a gnocchi bag to find a box, and inside it was a bag of gnocchi about one fourth the size of the original bag. The original claims five people can eat it. The amount of gnocchi wouldn't feed me.

I would like to find a new way to arrange my monitors. I have a ton of screen real estate, which is what I like, but I just feel like I am in need of a change.

#3DPrinter help, please?
What do I do?
Way back, I had worked really hard to get a solid, over burnt piece of TPU scraped off my print sheet. It wasn't TPU, it was the plastic coating on top of the print sheet. I ended up pulling the entire coating off, figured I wouldn't use that side. Since it was the only one I had, I flipped it over and put the other side down. It adhered with whatever glue held that coating on.
Today, PETG stuck to this smooth side, and while trying to get it off, the print bed scraped again. I am going to order a new one, but before I can use it I need to get this one off the bed. It is STUCK!
Pulling it pulled the near left corner up (it's not sitting crooked) and with the plastic spatula thing, I have only been able to get it this far.
What do I do? I was just going to keep yanking as hard as I can until I overcome this glue, but I am afraid I am going to rip the bed under it off. I already am going to have to go figure out how to get it to re-level itself.

I have a 1 TB nvme drive. It read as 1TB, and was usable for a moment, then failed and read as 0b. I moved it to a USB adapter and brought it to my laptop and it still reads as 0b.
What do I do to make it re-scan itself?

My Mastodon feed is not all in English. English is the only language I read, but I have followed a few bilingual (or more) folks, and I love it. I want the exposure to other cultures, the chance to see what non-English speakers are saying, and I have a handy Translate add-on so I can.'
You'd never get this on a siloed site, it would have choked anything I couldn't read out of my echo chamber before I even could realize it existed.

The WiFi trail camera can only be connected with your phone by the App TrailCam Go. It is not intended for surfing the internet via WiFi. Rather, it is designed to conveniently read photos or videos and set up cameras.
So when they say WiFi, and they say it a lot, they don't mean you can use WiFi.
Now I gotta go hack my way into this stupid camera so I can get pictures off of it.

What possible driver am I missing?
I have this projector, presenter, pointer thing. The top button worked as page up. The middle button activates the laser. The bottom was page down. There is an infrared LED on the top next to the laser opening and an infrared receiver that plugs in through USB to my computer.
After a reinstall of Linux, it doesn't work for page up or down anymore. The laser pointer works My keyboard works, obviously.

I have a client that is going out of business, and has been for years. They're officially ending in September now (maybe.) They have been letting the two remaining employees keep their laptops, I just need to remote in, remove the anti-virus and my software so they are on their own.
The fact that they have Windows 10 systems, which is a big deal in two months, is not my problem.
[I am tooting this as a confession. I feel guilty for not going out of my way to explain that or to even try to upgrade these old systems, if they can be upgraded.]

I had a print that completely failed. It started off getting stringy, then the entire thing started printing shifted to the side. After this happened the second time, I cleaned the nozzle and ran calibrations. Then tried again. This time it made weird noises, and didn't get any filament out, until I hit stopped it, then I got a steady stream.
There were bits of filament on the plate, at least that's what I thought it was, but apparently it's a coating that had been damaged, and when I scraped it off, it peeled the coating off.

I got my new part for my 3D Printer, and I test it and it works again. I am not going to go put TPU in it because does that this late at night is only asking for pain.
I also got my magnets for my Initiative Hammer, but getting tiny magnets into places my fingers don't reach, getting glue on to one side before you do it without getting glue all over everything, and keeping the polarities for the magnets correct throughout all of that is hard to do, even if you had two working hands. I'll muddle through, because this is a great thing and I want to finish it, but... it's daunting and I haven't felt the confidence to launch into it.

They appear to actually only be a regular pillow in a decorative sham, but the shape is sturdier than most pillows I seen, since it holds it. It looks like the oversized square pillow thing my wife picked up, but is actually pillow shaped.
(I'm interested in a sturdy pillow more than one that is actually #StarTrek themed, but I wouldn't be disappointed with Federation bedding.)

I agree, that's what it sounds like, but I checked through the wires and they seem alright to me. I don't have tools (or a right hand that works) to let me resolder anything.

Yeah, I checked them though and they seem good. Additionally, when I do anything on the printer that needs to reference them, the display resets, goes through the bootloader, then comes to that error. Then tapping causes it to go through the bootloader again then go to the regular window. It tells me I need to run the calibration before I can use it (because I tried a factory reset.)

#3DPrinting question:
I am swapping out my nozzle. The new one is clearly bigger where it extends beyond the extruder. How do I tell my printer and PrusaSlicer that?

I have a #3dPrinting question:
In the Prusa Core One, there's two screws that I can adjust to make the printer put more or less force on the filament.
When printing with TPU, I need to loosen this a lot... I think.
I need to learn how to gauge how much force is the right amount so that I can change it to print TPU and change it back for PLA/PETG. Before I can even start searching for learning, I need to learn the names for each of the things I just referenced.
Can anyone suggest anything, or even just repeat what I am asking using the correct jargon?

My phone case is breaking. I should prepare to replace it, but the phone is a Pixel 4 XL, so I think I should be preparing to replace the phone. I also have been saying that for years, now.

I found a build for it, but I can't find the basic instructions on how to get started. I found more than once place telling how they don't support unsupported builds, but nothing saying "step one, download this, step two, put it on an SD card and put it in, step three, press and hold..."
The instructions I did find skip to "Flash this one the device..."

I use it to display Smart Life and the the front door camera as a security camera view. The version of their app for that old version of Android crashes, and the version that doesn't crash needs a newer OS. It's got a big screen, and I 3D Printed a holder for it, so I would like to use this device for it, so we're trying alternative OSes.
