Although I share your enthusiasm, it's also good to ask, "Coud I be wrong?" which leads to researching other opinions.
I found the article below about the inevitable centralisation of Lightning, which means... in our enthusiasm, we are just recreating the Fiat network with easy central control and censorship.
Only those who delve into the Lightning network will be able to understand the intricacies. It's not easy and many will never understand it. Opening channels for example, or the inability to move sats to BTC self custody once the BTC price and mining fees move higher.
We hope that developers will solve these issues, but as they do, they are building a highly centralised network with big nodes (Wallet of Satoshi, Acinq, Binance, Kraken etc) that are easily co-opted by government. BTC exchanges already require KYC, what if big Sat hubs are next?

Hey Pablo,
a quick NIP idea I wanted to leave with you. How about a plugin that websites can use allowing Nostr users to subcribe for updates using their npub? The benefits:
(1) Increases Nostr network effect and growth.
(2) Gives users anonymity when signing up at different sites.
(3) Sites cannot sell user names and emails anymore.
(4) Site hacks? No problem, only npubs end up on the street, instead of names and emails on the Dark web.
(5) Those websites are incentivised to publish on Nostr, increasing opportunities for donations and commerce with Zaps instead of fiat.
(6) Nostr user account differentiation. The account, posts and messages about gardening don't mix with the posts and messages about political debate. This increases user privacy.
Listing above benefits, it seems an easy sell, especially to websites with decreasing subscriptions and unending fiat settlement issues.

How I would keep the price of Bitcoin down, if I was the government you ask? I would periodically seize large chunks of it, and sell those into bull markets, capping the price, demotivating all those with high hopes. Then the 21 mln cap doesn't matter, the hodlers don't matter, and 1 sat never becomes 1 USD.

Could it be that most people are uninteresting, working their day job, returning home, taking vacations, hardly reading books, or only the MSM promoted ones, getting sick and not understanding why, still jabbing their kids against measles?
Being truly interesting and followable online or offline is hard work and requires an unconventional mindset devoid of fear. Most people don't make that cut. I was utterly shocked how easily many bent/rolled over in 2020/21, just shocked. How I miss pre-2020 when almost everybody seemed interesting. Life was good in that garden of perception.
Thus indeed, an algo scanning for the next Lyn Alden or Jimmy Song makes total sense.

Hey Chris, no matter how hard I try to come up with a reason for Saylor to sell his MSTR awarded shares, I just cannot find any. His selling goes against all points he makes in his numerous videos. Or maybe... Let's assume he's short USD to his eyeballs on his personal account and apparently can't roll over that debt. Then maybe it makes sense to sell his shares. But then again, how hard can it be to refinance, even at 20%, if you hold an asset growing 30+%. It starts to feel like "Do as I say, don't do as I do".

(1) I agree, Freedom Of Speech (FOS) is fundamental, you were born with that right. But it brings insane potential abuse by the speaker who can buy newspapers and radio-TV stations and talk people into a terrible war, where John, Dave and Steve literally go to another country and kill Marie, Bruce and Luca. FOS also convinces people to inject themselves and their children with aluminum and formaldehyde causing autism and endless disease. FOS also convinces people to eat food with E621, E385 and E251 ensuring an early grave after endless hospital visits. So you see, FOS places enourmous responsibility on speaker AND listener.
(2) So why does a small group abuse FOS? Money. It's that simple. And specifically FIAT money. Because if I control speech and thought via my newspapers, I can generate war, get many people killed, impoverish the survivors, while the central bank HAS TO print more money to buy weapons from my 'defence' companies. So I get richer while the world literally burns. You wouldn't do this, I wouldn't, but there are people out there who do.

(1) About You. Before this reply I browsed your feed and constantly asked myself, "Why is he/she on Nostr? Why all the food videos and pics? What do all these posts bring to others?"
(2) About Bluesky. After all the abuse by FB, LinkdIn and Twitr, I'm flabbergasted that people would still want to sign up for social networks that require e-mail addresses. Apparently, some people just like abuse.
(3) Nostr users constantly talk about Bitcoin because they understand how fiat money destroys everything, including your future. Instead of only complaining, they work hard on solutions. If you don't get this, you should really ask yourself, "Why am I on Nostr?"

Nostr is a different way of looking at social media and money. Everybody has a different trajectory to achieve this understanding. Using nostr means the user understands the need for privacy, decentralisation and freedom. Don't bother with those who don't. Understanding public and private keys in the Nostr context is like understanding 1 to 10 in supermarkets, there is no way to simplify it, you need counting skills. Making things simple will attract simple people which will hurt Nostr and overload relays with nonsense.

All can be classified as toxins because the body will try to eliminate them quickly. And yes, coffee feels like having benefit.... so do rusty nails.
17th and 18th century sailors succumbed to scurfy due to lack of vitamine C. The solution was simple: citrus fruits for Vitamine C. Instead of toxic, those sailors were deficient. Similarly it goes for vit-D, E and many important elements like iodine and selenium. The body needs them. Where do you get them? That's a personal journey. Some thrive on fruits and vegetables, some on meat, others on supplements. You'll have to test and see what works for you. Learn to read supermarket labels, understand E385, E900 or imazalil on those shiny citrus fruits. This will be a life long process without easy answers.

adding my share of 1000 cuts to Fiat (not the car maker), simply because we háve to. Starting several Nostr enabled initiatives for that purpose, like #WeThePeople envisioning a better judiciary by normal people to neutralize Fiat-driven types "just doing their job" but clearly hurting others. Spotlight them, push them into their limbic brain, and the fiat pyramid weakens and the world starts healing.
Another upcoming initiative will organise writers, like @npub1l5d…z23f, @npub1cxp…exlq, @npub12q2…fe63, @npub1ark…h43w, @npub1wkl…5u0t, @npub1q6y…t3sh and many others for future scenario development, looking ahead 20, 50 and 100 years through Nostr binoculars and give a middle finger to Harari and combat the 100 year plan (=>genocide) laid out for normal people. This requires the imagination of writers. The R0ckef3llers and their cronies do it, so why reinvent the wheel? Just use identical methods.

Great story Chris, it's important to be an example for others. It can be done, but most people have to choose non-compliance. On Opt-Out-Day on 24 November 2010 airport security just let everyone through without checks, fearing chaos from expected protests. Hey Niels, I took some time to formulate a good reply.
1st, agree on the exclusion. It starts in the supermarket, don't buy poison. But once in the fridge, then getting sick and unable to access the fridge also helps. Healing from degenerative disease is usually a detoxing process while fixing deficiencies.
W.A. Price indeed proved that meat is not bad. But that was 120 years ago. The people Price visited ate meat from free roaming animals.
The 4-stomach argument is weak because not all grass is the same. Some are as tough as nails, others as soft as jelly. Even cows only eat certain grass and avoid others.
The best qualifier is Your own body. If you have great skin, a clear mind, sleep well, regular easy stool, never feel tired, never head aches etc. Then your diet is perfect. Be it meat, fish, greens, cabbage juice or chocolate chip cookies etc. If not, then changes are required. Especially the stool is a good indicator, if you're struggling there, then changes are definitely needed.

(1) "Authoritarian ways". Maybe without knowing it, you are correct. Authority means 'author of'. Everyone is the author of their own word and will. When you contract, you express your will. So yes, adopting authoritarian ways actually means people standing up for themselves, when harmed, when their consent is absent and their authority ignored. This is why, "No, means No❗"
(2) "Death camps", the 96% normal people in society have no inkling for this nonsense. It's the 4% psychopaths accumulating in corpo-government who do death camps and genocide.
(3) "Guillotines". May I refer you to the excellent "Under the Sign of the Scorpion (2002)" by Juri Lina, available on archive dot org. It describes the true igniters of that French revolution (and other 'revolutions'). Spoiler alert: it wasn't normal people. Then and now, they were home minding their own business.
(4) Ukrainian famines were started by Lenin / Stalin in their scramble to seize grain to pay off their international financiers. Revolutions, taking over countries is very expensive. Again, normal people are incapable of such things, including seizing farmers land, or coming up with ESGs.

The 19th century movement to improve worker conditions was ligit. Marxism co-opted and twisted it into a tool for ultimate suppression and genocide.
So here we are, in the next well-meaning movement, Bitcoin, where control over the whole planet is at stake. Presidents and senators were killed several times over this. So yes, build, grow and improve, but expect the worst from 'the other side', truly understand the bigger picture and protect yourself.

In a world with X% global output increase (with X increasing due to robots), future employment contracts múst have a decreasing salary scale: 1000 Sats this year, 1000 minus X% in year 2 etc. Businesses múst lower prices to keep customers and/or move robot produced inventory.
The highly skilled keep their salary on the same level, 1000 Sats, and get ahead, bigger house, fancier car. Low producers get bigger cuts. But if houses, vacations and food get X% cheaper, no one is left behind. Smaller car, smaller house, but you know it fits your capabilities. Employees can now truly find their purpose in life. Greed makes way to investigate the true human experience and incredible art.
Bitcoin hodlers get richer and richer, but that doesn't bother anybody, because employment brings fulfilment from working on worthwhile issues that require less and less BTC, contrary to frustration from b.s. jobs in current fiat system keeping (especially young) people busy (doing KYC) until they can be poisoned and discarded. The great poisoning, started in the '80s, will reverse. Unlike the mega rich of today, hodlers won't feel the need for manipulative social engineering and depopulation to protect their long term position.

Bitcoin Magazine's Mark Goodwin vaguely admits that Bitcoin is an intelligence operation, at 22m and 2h20m in interview below. It was started after the 2008 crisis to phase-out fiat.
Apparently, Lightning CEO Elisabeth Stark consulted for WEF in 2017, with now the Bank of Intl Settlements launching project Ice Breaker with similar tech.
So in a sense, Bitcoiners and crypto guys are doing the hard work, building and growing the eco system, only to have everything co-opted at the right moment. Like the endless war on drugs and war on terror, I see an endless war on cyber crime ahead to confiscate all Bitcoin when the time is right, similar to gold confiscation in the '30s.

A modern day German law against questioning the H0l0caust? How can asking questions be unlawful? "What did H!tler have against J3ws? What had they done (to him)?" I would ask in high school and never get a good answer.
Fast forward many obscure books... not all J3ws are bad, most are upstanding folk, then and now, but international trouble usually has J3wish elements. In contrast to many other countries where they were expelled, Russia tried to accommodate and assimilate them during the 19th century, for which a high price was paid. Naturally, J3ws did not suddenly overthrow the Russian government. Revolt requires lots of guns and men who want to be paid, so they were heavily financed by.... then globalists, who saw an opportunity in weaponising J3wry and use them in the next divide and conquer scheme that remains to this day. Hence the German law.
Globalists are quite smart, but #Bitcoin, future higher layers and #protocols like #Nostr have the potential to finally neutralise them.

Money goes to Ukraine (to buy weapons) because the many people working in the defence industry can't keep making missiles that are never used. At some point storage is overwhelmed, forcing Washington to start a war somewhere. The gov could have given that money directly to defence workers, but that does nothing for depopulation.

Increasing life experience shows the most outrageous claims and theories turning out to be true. Indeed, unlucky pseudonyms can be chosen, like Mitsubishi "Pajero" which turned out to mean "Wanker" in Spanish.

Small nuance for cigarette smokers, they must consume alcohol. Smoking introduces methanol into the body. The protein that normally convert alcohol to glucose will convert methanol to formaldehyde, which turns tissue into plastic, which is called Multiple Sclerosis. Many years ago, when I discovered I was being lied to by main stream media (as a paying subscriber) I felt extremely hurt and abused.
Years later when I discovered Facebook was manipulating me, again, I felt extremely hurt and abused. Then when Google promised to "do no evil" and then.... etc.etc.etc.
I think the picture is accurate, because you tell these people, "You are being abused," and they choose ignorance and return to that situation.

HODL is correct, most people are stupid. Covid proved it. The huge mask and jab compliance was shocking. There is no way to deny or nuance this. We live in a world where 'might makes right' enabling others with more might to ignore your rights. Could Nostr counteract this? Nostr security and privacy could really change the playing fiel, protecting judges and jury. Imagine hurting someone, having a case brought against you, losing, and that verdict splashed all over social media. The case could be a private or public group owned by the plaintiff, who invites a judge, who invites jury members after reading the initial writ, then inviting defendant to join and run his defence.
