and to be hoenst, I had a little phase of feeling that way myself. It's the holier-than-thou route you can afford to take when your life is kind enough to you that you're not directly impacted, or you just don't know how it's impacted you.
But especially in this time of rising fascism, it's important to note how the rich and callous trade on suffering and deaths, and on balance I'd say it's fine to enjoy their demise.

I'm also against capital punishment, an entirely different beast. It kills innocent people & giving the state the power to murder doesn't result in justice overall and isn't civilised.
But when awful people die, who left terrible marks on the world (so many to choose from), people are well within their right to take solace, joy or whatever in it. Doesn't have to be your own approach, but all 'don't celebrate death' does is show privilege and disregard for suffering, I think.

We finally got out
Followed the group and police for a bit then peeled off to traipse towards a train.
That was eye-opening in a bad way. We have a serious problem with these people.
They threw a lot of alcohol-missiles at people on the north end of the #StandUpToRacism group. They attacked the police. They screamed and swore at us and shouted nonsense like ENGLAAAND as we passed.
We had a street party waiting for the police to clear a path through their violent bullshit.

I'm not convinced it's an age thing, more a personality thing. Some boomer-age folks are absolutely attached to their phones, and utterly inconsiderate with it. None of them grew up with them.

one thing to understand is that it's not new at all! People are people and all kinds of people have existed since humanity began.
Many cultures embraced, for example, third gender spaces. Revered those people, even, or at least they were highly respected. Then Christian colonialism, missionary 'work' and brutal oppression destroyed many of those cultures, and didn't teach people about them.

It's people's incomes, it's their jobs, for many a sole window to the outside world (people who are housebound, some disabled folks, those who struggle severely with social anxiety) and way to make friends.

Please don't incredulously share this 'all embryos are default female' stuff. Like so much in bio, it's really not that simple.
Both sex development paths in the foetus are active, requiring gene expressions that add and remove physical features.
Female is not default.

'are taken'? By whom? Why is their definition more important than the original (being cgnisant of societal injustice, particularly but not limited to racism)?
And do you feel that in the past you might have used 'social justice warriors' or 'PC police' or similar in its place?
Do any of those have functional definitions? I don't expect answers but if your consideration leads you to 'not really', perhaps it's... Worth more consideration.
