I remember in Moscow 2010, the pavements were melting it was so hot that summer.
I don't know why we haven't upped the albedo/reflectiveness/lightness of them everywhere already.
It's terrible for trees, heating up the ground and harming roots and no doubt more issues besides, the pitch-black stuff.
